This car orginially from the fatory was a 4.6 GT. This car was sent to Shinoda Racing. Who and what is Larry Shinoda? Larry Shinoda is a famed car designer from the 60s and 70s. Larry Shinoda designed Chevrolet's Stingray Corvette and Later Ford's BOSS Mustang.  Shinoda was the east coast what Saleen was west coast.   The original motor was replaced with a 5.4 which was built from the ground up which the motor alone cost $8,000. To build it up cost an additional $15,000. For those that do not have a calculator, that's $23,000 on the engine alone.  That does not include all the upgrades on the suspension.
Additonally the car has : Eiback springs pro kit, Hurst pistol grip with close ratio pattern, cold air kit. Tokico adjustable shocks, sway bar kit, lower control arms, JBA axle back performance exhaust, Shinoda floor mats and Sirius radio.  The first 2 gears are simply brutal, you will feel every bit of the 600 horse power this beast provides.  Be the first person to own a super car at an unreal price. The engine only has 8,000 miles .  It is a garage queen and has never seen rain or been at a car wash.  For more information you can call me at (760) 218-5902 ask for Carlos.
We will take cashier's check or pay through pay pal. Buyer pays for shipping costs.  Only serious prospects please.  There is no existing warranty on the vehicle.

Ford opens 88 new dealerships in China in a single day

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

"Ford opened 88 dealerships in China last year." "Ford opened 88 dealerships in China during the first half of 2014." "Ford opened 88 dealerships in China last month." None of those statements - even the last one - would seem unbelievable. Saying "Ford opened up 88 dealerships in China last Thursday," though, is a bit more dramatic.
Yes, on June 19 alone, Ford opened the doors on nearly 100 showrooms in the People's Republic, boosting the Blue Oval's total presence in the country to 750 dealerships. Of course, while an overabundance of dealers in the US proved troublesome for American manufacturers back in 2008 and 2009, there's no such concern in China. Considering the country's huge population and the breakneck pace of the local auto industry, you could be forgiven for being surprised Ford only has 750 outlets at this stage.
What's notable about this most recent push, besides the sheer volume of new stores, is their location. Over three-quarters of the new dealerships are in so-called Tier 4 cities, which are smaller towns that still contain millions of people. This fits with Ford's strategy in China of avoiding the bigger battlegrounds that are already dominated by competitors and focusing on setting up shop in newer markets that may have been overlooked, according to Automotive News.

Project Ugly Horse alive and kicking at Road & Track

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

The hallways of the Autoblog campus are much quieter now that Zach Bowman has taken his prose, along with his welders, wrenches and hammers, over to the digital pages of Road & Track, but that doesn't mean our favorite project Mustang is gone forever. Project Ugly Horse is still coming along, and Zach has gifted us another update on his unfoxy Fox Body.
Last we saw of the Ugly Horse, Zach was strengthening up the '89 Mustang's chassis as he prepares to stuff the turbocharged, direct-injected EcoBoost engine of a Ford Focus ST under the hood. First things first, the old mill must go. Head on over to Road & Track to catch the latest chapter of Project Ugly Horse.

NHTSA investigating Ford Fiesta for faulty door latches

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary investigation on the 2011-2013 Ford Fiesta because the regulator has received 61 complaints from drivers, including one claim of an injury, about the doors on the subcompacts failing to latch and sometimes even flying open while driving. NHTSA has estimated that the problem could affect as many as 205,000 vehicles.
NHTSA is still gathering further data about the problem, but looking at the complaints so far, both front and rear doors appear to be potentially involved with the alleged failures. Among the reports, there are 12 claiming that the door opened while driving. Several also indicate the "Door Ajar" warning illuminating during this problem. The one purported injury happened when someone attempted to shut the door, and it bounced back.
Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker told Autoblog via email, "We are cooperating with NHTSA on this investigation, as we always do." Scroll down to read the report from NHTSA.
