Up for sale is my 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra with 40k miles on it. I have owned this car since August of 2008 when I purchased it with 29,000 miles on it. In the 5+ years I've owned it, I have only averaged just over 2,000 miles per year.

This car has been cared for exceptionally during the time I've had it:
  • Always garaged
  • Rarely seen rain (only been surprised by rain a couple times while driving)
  • Stored (with car cover) in a heated garage during winters (Car cover included with vehicle)
  • Never smoked in
  • Interior in great condition
As far as I can tell, the car was completely stock when I purchased it in 2008. I have only made a few minor modifications to the car:
  • Bassani cat-back exhaust system
  • JLT cold-air intake (stock air intake included with vehicle)
  • Window tint
Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping. I will deliver the car within 100 miles of Valparaiso, IN.
$500 deposit via paypal due within 72 hours of auction close. Full payment due within 7 days of auction close.

Consumer Reports says Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevy are big winners in brand perception survey

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

According to Consumer Reports, the automotive brands that stand out in the minds of car buyers are, in order: Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevrolet. This news comes after the magazine polled its readers, asking them to take into account vehicle quality, safety, performance, value, fuel economy, design/style, and technology/innovation - which are the factors that car shoppers are most influenced by.
It's important to note that this award is only about perception. In other words, it's perceived quality, not actual quality. "Often, perception can be a trailing indicator, reflecting years of good or bad performance in a category, and it can also be influenced by headlines in the media," said Jeff Bartlett, Consumer Reports deputy automotive editor.
The brand that made the biggest jump in perception amongst Consumer Reports readers is Tesla, which posted an impressive 47-point gain to finish in fifth place. Subaru is also notable for finishing in the top 10, despite being one of the smaller manufacturers doing business in the US. Scroll down below for all the details from Consumer Reports, if you're so inclined.

How the Ford Shelby Mustang came to be

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

Even as rumors swirl that the next-generation of high-performance Ford Mustang will drop the Shelby name, Ford has released a short video telling how the legend of the Shelby Mustang came to be. In its latest installment of its video series entitled Mustang Countdown, Ford dug up some footage from Carroll Shelby to give a little insight into how this automotive icon was created.
While it's definitely interesting to hear the late legend tell the story in his own words (including numerous references to the 1964 Mustang as a "secretary's car"), it's also pretty funny learning exactly how the Shelby GT350 got its name in the first place - a name allegedly making a comeback as the replacement for the current Shelby GT500. As development work continues on the 2015 Ford Mustang, the Shelby video posted below shows that the automaker is always looking at its past - even as it looks ahead to the future.

Ford Fiesta ST in startling track battle against Toyota GT86

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

On the surface, there's very little that the Ford Fiesta ST and Toyota GT86 (or the Scion FR-S that is sold in the US, or the largely similar Subaru BRZ) share in common. One is a hatchback with power coming from a turbocharged engine routed to the front wheels. The other is a coupe with power coming from a naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine routed to the rear wheels.
Thing is, both of them are reasonably priced performance cars aimed at a similar segment of the automotive marketplace, so a comparison isn't out of the question. It is with all of this in mind that we direct you to the video below, in which the blokes from Evo pit the two manic little machines against one another on a race track. The result? Well, it can be summed up this way: Fast versus fun.
See how the track battle goes down in the video below.
