This is an awesome car. Have the urge for a winter project and no garage space so need to sell one of my babies. Going to list all the things I have done since getting the car. I listed all I could think of that is wrong with the car. I have never driven it in the rain, but would guess it is like any other convertible of this type and it may leak some. Also have listed all the things I have done to the car to make it a real beauty. We had one of these years ago and I just wanted to save it and make it a gem. Here is what I have done...
-new front bumper covers
-new front fenders
-new hood (scoop)
-new hood pins
-new graphics
-quarter panel repair on both sides (steel)
-new boot
-new trunk lid
-new door handles
-new rear window motors
-all electric windows work
-new hydrolics for top
-new custom wheels (all original wheels go with car as well as a new spare tire mounted on one of the original rims)
-new interior
-new paint
-top nearly new
-had engine checked over by my mechanics
As you can see, I have several thousand dollars invested, not including labor. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. She is NOT perfect, but sure not far from it.
In case the negative stuff didn't show up, here is what I know...
-electric seats not hooked up
-rear plastic window not in perfect shape
-electric truck opener not hooked up
-electric gas lid opener not hooked up
-air conditioner not blowing cold (just tried it for the first time today...I never use it)

One Step at a Time
Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another.
Chuck Schwynoch had been patiently listening to my ramblings on the other end of the phone for a solid half hour. I'm not too big of a man to know when to ask for help, and at this point, I desperately needed some assistance. The truth is, working on a machine like a Fox Body Mustang is as easy as breathing thanks to the wealth of information available on the web. Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another, and odds are the sorry souls behind those builds shared the highs and lows of their torment with the internet community.

Ward's Automotive Ten Best Engines of 2014 dominated by diesels, turbos

With the Car and Driver Ten Best decided, the North American Car and Truck of the Year finalists announced and Cadillac, Ram and Subaru chalking up wins with Motor Trend, it's fair to say that the automotive awards season is in full swing. The next set of trophies to be handed out will be from Ward's Automotive, which has announced the winners of its 2014 10 Best Engines.
The latest contest was marked by the widespread emergence of diesel power and the continued success of turbocharged engines. There was even an electric motor on this year's list. In fact, only three of the ten winners were naturally aspirated and only two winners returned from last year.
"We weren't looking to throw the bums out, as they might say about an election. We were just really impressed with the flood of new powertrains," said Ward's Automotive Editor-in-Chief Drew Winter. Those new powertrains include the 83-kilowatt electric motor from the Fiat 500e, the 1.0-liter, EcoBoost three-cylinder from the Ford Fiesta and the 2.0-liter turbodiesel from the Chevrolet Cruze.

Evo grabs Ford's Fiesta R5 rally car by the scruff

Evo and host Henry Catchpole were thinking of excuses reasons to borrow the bonkers Ford Fiesta R5 rally car for a day or two, when it struck them: the car is street legal. With access to the R5, some of the world's most beautiful driving roads in the English Lake Country nearby, and a handy video crewing hanging around, the plan seemed to write itself.
Based on the resulting video, it was a good plan. Without spoiling the video for you - something we can't really do in text as the best part is listening to the rally car run - Catchpole finds the Fiesta to be sublimely quick and massively satisfying. Even taking the car for a spin on a pseudo rally stage, after leaving the English countryside, does nothing but add to his assessment of the beastly little Ford.
