I am listing my fathers 1982 ford mustang gt. He has owned the car since new. He bought it from the show room floor at Beasley Ford in york pa. He drove the car for 6 months then lost his license. It has been garage kept since then. It used to go to car shows in the early 90's but was always hauled and never started. About 2 months ago he decided it was time to let it go and unfortunately I don't have the money to buy it. So here it is on ebay. When he decided to sell it we pushed it out of the garage drained the oil and antifreeze out of it put new oil filter on it and oil. Flushed the radiator and put new antifreeze in it. Put a battery in it and it ran. Now it could use a tune up and needs gone over. I drove the car two miles up the road so brakes work and so do all the lights still inside and out. The car came factory with luvers on back window, recaro seats, hood scoop, fog lights with covers and marine cam. The car is 4spd and 302 motor. Nothing was ever altered on the car. While it was in the garage it wasn't even touched for almost 30 years. It has original metric tires and wheels with like new tread and hold air but are flat spotted from sitting. Found that out on my drive. The spare is still in the car holding air never used. Never used locking lug nuts and tool in bag never opened, Extra padding for the seats new in bag never opened. Jack and lug wrench never used. The car still has the new car smell in it. that is how long the car sat untouched. The car looks like new no dents no scratches but the paint needs buffed or waxed. All the original books that came with the car are still in it and look like new. Original window sticker and every other paper he got with the car when it was driven off of the showroom floor. This is a car you wont want to let go because you will never find a car with this kind of miles this well taken care of that hasn't been messed with. You are encouraged to come check it out but there will be no test rides because it needs the tires replaced. If you buy the car and title work is done it could be driven local but wouldn't drive across country. Again it does need a tune up and should be gone over mostly carb. if the car sits and idles it starts to load up. The car will be sold as is. The car is also for sale locally and there are people interested so if sold i reserve the right to end the auction early. If you have bad feed back your bid will be deleted. If you have no feed back call. He will not give the car away. We have done are research and think we have it reserved at a fair price but if car is not sold and the highest bidder is close to reserve we will contact you and talk about letting the car go. Don't bid unless you are serious. He doesn't have a pay pal account so It will be cash in hand only no checks no pay pal. If there are any questions please call my dad Tom after 5pm est through the week and not after 9pm est. weekends can be anytime up to 9pm est. At (717) 428-3941. He will not ship the car. I will ad more info as it is remembered. Here is a walk around video with the car running. http://youtu.be/0GPSfaAJrpE

EPA says fuel economy test for hybrids is accurate
Mon, 26 Aug 2013
The EPA says it stands behind its fuel economy test for hybrid vehicles following controversy about the testing process after Ford C-Max Hybrid customers and automotive journalists alike struggled to achieve 47 miles per gallon, the advertised mpg number, Automotive News reports. Ford responded to the issue almost two weeks ago by claiming that a 1970s-era EPA general label rule was responsible for the inaccurate mileage numbers, rerating the C-Max Hybrid's mpg numbers and offering customers rebates. Ford later said it didn't overstate the C-Max Hybrid's fuel economy and that it was surprised by the low numbers.
Ford technically didn't do anything wrong because it was following the general label rule, but agency regulator Christopher Grundler says the automaker was exploiting a loophole when it came up with the hybrid C-Max numbers, and that the testing process remains accurate. The general label rule allows vehicles that use the same engine and transmission and are in the same weight class to share fuel economy numbers, but it doesn't take into account other factors such as aerodynamic efficiency, which affects hybrids more drastically than non-hybrid vehicles. Ford originally used the Fusion Hybrid economy figures for the C-Max Hybrid and claimed the engineers didn't realize that its aerodynamic efficiency would affect fuel economy as much as it did.
