This is a drive NOW, needs a few things to make really nice, but can be driven now.
It's a 302 V-8, Autommatic, Power Stering And Brakes. Runs and driver very good.
Many things has been done to it in the last few years, & a few more things should be done none of whats needs or should be done is major.... mainly minor stuff. Now I'll list what has been done;

Carb has been changed to a Holly 650CFM 4 barrel, Edelbrock Manifold, Hooker Headers, Dual Flomasters and Electronic Ignition. The Engine was rebuilt in 1996, and has been driven about 40k mi. The front seats and door panles have been redone.

Next are things it needs;
new top(the most major of items).
back seat to be redone.
the hood springs need to be put back on (I have them)
replace the carpet... but necessary.
new tires would be nice.
dash pad has one crack in it.
A new owner that will LOVE this car.

Again.... it's ready to drive, needs very little to make it a very nice car. It's very loud due to Flomasters, the car has been used very little in the last few years. Spedo shows 73068 but it's only a 5 digit  dial.
Please, serious callers only.

I'm in the Los Angeles Aera.

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.

Ford GT40 makes historic return to racing at Goodwood

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Is there a more iconic, American racecar than the Ford GT40? That may be a discussion for another day (although by all means, tell us how wrong we are in Comments), but this video of heaps of GT40s running in the Goodwood Revival races certainly has us thinking that Ford's Ferrari-killer might just be the best racer the Land Of The Free and Home Of The Brave has ever come up with.
That's completely ignoring the fact that the GT40 was largely developed by Brits using American money, but that's besides the point (there was also a rather brash Texan, who had a big role later in development). The resulting vehicle was dominant, besting the cars of Il Commendatore from 1966 to 1969, although it should be noted that Ford's GT40 was unable to beat Ferrari in its first two Le Mans outings in 1964 and 1965.
Those four years of dominance, which started with Ford sweeping the podium, were enough to establish the GT40's legend. And now, here we are almost 50 years later, celebrating the mid-engined monsters at Goodwood, in their first ever one-make race. Take a look below for the entire video.

Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage

Mon, 03 Jan 2011

The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.
