1970 Mach I 302 Boss Look Mustang
Original 1970 Mach I, Competition Yellow, 4 speed, 351C 4BBL documented car (Marti Report included)
Has been complete rebuilt true to its history with 351C engine, 4BBL Holley Double Pumper Carb, bare metal repaint
in PPG clear coat base coat including bottom of car, engine bay, interior… complete “dip” in paint.
Example features how car has be dramatically improved from stock
· American Auto Wiring new wiring harness throughout.. include upgrades if wanted for AC, power everything
· Modern T5 5 speed with hydraulic clutch with external slave and master for easy adjustment and durability.
Filled with DOT 5 racing fluid
· Period Correct 351 Cleveleand engine fully BUILT with upgraded high lift COMP CAM, forged pistons with
11:1 compression, Harland Sharp Roller Rockers… very powerful estimate 500+ HP. Have not dynoed car but judging
by current performance and by forged piston compression, roller rockers / internals of engine, headers, Magnaflow
custom exhaust etc.
· Boss 302 finish out for that “look” but note could be converted to Mach I look in maybe a weekend…
Heat gun remove stripes, buff, add Mach I rocker moldings. Rear honey comb trim between tail lights and strip on
trunk lid. Trunk lid is original OEM Mach I trunk lid without Mustang letter holes. So pick you look you have
both !
· Interior completely redone with Leather front seats done in larger more comfortable format then stock. New
headliner, sound deadening, dash, glass, rear trim, stereo etc. Note rear deck is covered in euro black vinyl,
hidden rear speakers for stereo
· Instrumentation is all modern digital but looks very OEM. New electronic tach, speedometer, odometer, hour

· Brand NEW staggered BFG raised white letter tires with larger rear tires then front brand new Mustang
upgraded 15 inch Magnum 500 wheels just like an OEM Boss
· Bottom of car and engine bay painted in Competition Yellow base coat and clear to give distinctive look.
If new owner wanted black engine bay could easily be changed - but doing in Yellow to match car was a big job and
nice appearance upgrade all done during completely disassembled shell stripped and painted. Note pictures of
complete restoration process available on request
· New Shaker ram air hood scoop with rebuilt Holley double pumper underneath :)
· All electrical work turn signals, lights, interior lights all redone and connected with all new American Auto
wiring harness
· Car lowered one stage with custom CJ Pony springs and all new OEM blue shocks
· Exhaust and headers all new. Magnaflow custom dual exhaust with Boss OEM turn down exhaust tips. Sounds
fantastic !
· New OEM threaded insert rear louvers.. .not cheap imitation OEM real stuff
· Build documentation included in car most brochures for new equipment like gauges, wiring harness, exhaust,
engine cam etc. included in notebook in trunk of car
Most of all this car “goes” and is fun and a great platform to use as is or add more for modern daily driver !
Final note is this is a true Mach I all documented and could be re-badged as Mach I in probably a couple of days.
Basically just add in rocker moldings, honeycomb between tail lights and remove stripes with heat gun and install
Mach I badges. So just a unique opportunity to have BOTH looks..... Boss 302 look just classic and this car much
more modern, higher performance, easier to maintain then stock Boss 302. A Boss 302 in same condition of this car
probably North of 85K or more. If in time you decide you prefer Mach I look quick and cheap to change. Even
deck lid is original Mach I without "Mustang" letters in lid. So a great
high performance, totally updated re-stomod car that you can enjoy has is or as Mach I look.

2015 Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition says 'happy birthday' in New York

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

Fifty years ago this week, Ford debuted the first-ever Mustang at the New York World's Fair. And to celebrate, the Blue Oval is offering up this special, 50th Anniversary Edition 2015 Mustang, which makes its debut at the New York Auto Show. It'll be a seriously limited affair, with only 1,964 examples of the special edition Mustang slated to be produced (the number chosen to coincide with the 'Stang's first year in production). But for those who raise their hands for the 50th Anniversary package, there's a pretty sweet package in store.
The 50th Anniversary Edition is based on the 2015 Mustang GT with the Performance Pack, and is only available in two colors: Kona Blue, or Wimbledon White (pictured). The car also comes fully loaded - the only option for buyers to choose is the transmission. Should you opt for the six-speed automatic, you'll get a limited-slip rear differential with a 3.55:1 final-drive ratio (the 50th Anniversary car is also the only way to get a slushbox-equipped 'Stang with the Performance Pack). Selecting the six-speed manual 'box will net you a Torsen differential with a 3.73:1 ratio. All 50th Anniversary cars will be powered by Ford's 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated V8, estimated to produce more than 420 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque in the 2015 Mustang.
Inside, there's a cashmere-stitched, leather-wrapped steering wheel, with a similar detail found on the instrument panel, shift boot, door inserts, seats, and center armrest. Two-tone leather/black upholstery is also part of the 50th Anniversary package, and of course, there's a special logo on the seats.

Tier 1 suppliers call GM the worst OEM to work with

Mon, 12 May 2014

Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.

2015 Ford Focus Sedan is fresh-faced and ready to defend its Most Popular crown

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

Ford has made an art of deeper-than-normal midlife updates since the 2010 Fusion, a strategy that has allowed it to keep models looking fresher in showrooms for longer without needing full redesigns. Instead of slight touchups to light fixtures, new paint colors and perhaps new wheel patterns, Ford has been digging deeper, with significant sheetmetal changes and very different front-end looks, along with an increased emphasis on new in-car technologies to keep models vibrant. Other automakers are following this trend, and Ford itself is continuing on the path with this new 2015 Focus Sedan.
There's a handsome new SE Sport Package that includes a firmer touring suspension, modest body kit and 17-inch wheels.
We first saw this sleek Aston Martin-like nose fitted to a Focus at the Geneva Motor Show last month, but Ford only showed the new look on the five-door hatchback - this is the first appearance of the sedan, which will bow at next week's New York Auto Show. The front end treatment is the same, with a new hood, new headlamps incorporating LED accents, a different grille shape and a completely revised lower fascia that does away with the 2014 model's controversial triangle-shaped corners and gaping intakes. The rear gets a new two-piece, laser-brazed trunk lid with new taillamps, but the overall look is quite similar to last year's car. In any case, the refreshed look brings the Focus sedan more in line with the design of Ford's other recently reworked cars, including the Fusion and Fiesta.
