BODY:
As you can see from the photos, this 1968 Mustang Eleanor Fastback has a very nice body. The car was
professionally painted and restored with Black Shelby G.T. 500E stripes over the movie correct Pepper Gray Metallic
body. We started with a True Mustang Fastback with a clean title and absolutely no rust. The underside is all
original with solid floor pans, great frame rails, strong torque boxes. The panels on this car show a nice fit
that cut and polished to a deep gloss finish. Shelby fiberglass body kit was professionally installed. We used
a Eleanor Metal Hood. The body lines are Laser Straight. Our Eleanor body kit includes all the correct movie car
features, including the custom dual-exhaust for that deep throaty rumble you would expect from a professionally
built Eleanor Mustang.

INTERIOR:
The interior is also professionally restored. All the electric components work as they should. All of the new
soft trim is new and restored. The Interior looks and feels excellent including all new:

Seat Upholstery

Carpet

Dash Pad

Door Panels

Console

Stereo

Ice Cold Air Conditioning

Fold-down Rear Seat

Engine / Mechanics

The Ford small block engine is powerful and responsive. The Engine has been professionally built and balanced.
This Mustang starts with a flick of the ignition and holds the road very well. The car features newly restored
suspension, new disc brakes on all 4 corners, new steering components. Power is put to the pavement through a
crisp rebuilt C4 automatic transmission. Just about every component is NEW, or has been newly replaced or
restored. No overheating issues. The car boasts of rack and pinion power steering, air conditioning and power
disc brakes. Fly in and drive this car home. New Eleanor wheels and tires.

TRUNK:
The trunk area is clean and rust free. No issues here, the pictures of the car speak for themselves.

Toyota fears supplier pressure in Australia with GM pull out

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

With Ford and General Motors both announcing an end to production in Australia, the country's auto industry is in a bad way. With the exit of two big players, there's increased concern that a third Australian manufacturer, Toyota, will be forced out, as well.
"We are saddened to learn of GM Holden's decision. This will place unprecedented pressure on the local supplier network and our ability to build cars in Australia," Toyota Australia said in a statement. The GM closure of Holden production will be the direct end to 2,900 jobs, but will also force a dramatic reduction in the size of the country's supplier network, as there will simply be fewer cars to build.
In the same statement, Toyota Australia said it would work with suppliers and local government to figure out whether continuing production Down Under was even feasible. According to Automotive News, a representative for the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union told reporters it was "highly likely" that Toyota would also close up shop within the next few years.

Meet Floyd Pullin, 102-year-old honorary president of Ford trucks [w/video]

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

When we talk about trucks we often talk about how loyal truck owners are; it's men like Floyd Pullin who provide the proof. The 102-year-old man from Confluence, Pennsylvania has only owned Ford products since the 1920s, and he's done so well by Ford Trucks that the division named him honorary president for a day, not long after he took delivery of his latest ride, a 2013 F-150 STX.
That's the 16th Ford he's owned. If he bought his first when he was 16, he'd have flipped into a new car or truck about every five years. For 86 years. Not a bad run of business for either side.
Ford Trucks made a video to wish Pullin a happy birthday, which was celebrated at his local Ford dealership and was visited by a Pennsylvania state senator. You can watch it below.

Ford Mondeo with 1.5-liter EcoBoost debuts in China

Sat, 20 Apr 2013

Does the car above, posing fancifully in white, look familiar? Well, it should. Although it wears Mondeo badges in the form you see above for the Chinese market - as it does in Europe - the car is basically the same thing sold in the US as the Ford Fusion. Of course, it's what's under that shapely skin that counts.
Ford has chosen the Shanghai Motor Show as the venue with which to unveil its 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine. We'd heard about the engine before, but now we have a few performance estimates to share: 133 kW of power (about 178 horsepower) and 240 Nm of torque (about 177 pound-feet).
Those numbers pretty much confirm previous rumors indicating about 177 in each category, and it's right on par with what Ford's own 1.6-liter EcoBoost produces. Ford is claiming best-in-class fuel economy as well, but no specific figures have yet been provided. In any case, we'll surely have all the data soon enough, as the 1.5-liter mill is destined for the US Fusion in 2014.
