1966 Ford Mustang Coupe Factory Pony Interior Car on 2040-cars
Jonesboro, Louisiana, United States
Engine:6 cylinder
Drive Type: rear
Model: Mustang
Mileage: 100,000
Trim: coupe
Up for bids is this 1966 ford mustang project car. It is a good rebuildable project that needs to be gone through. This was a factory 6 cylinder, automatic, A/C, and pony interior car. This was a pretty high optioned car. It still has the pony interior. The A/C stuff is gone except for the bracket under the hood. I will start with the outside of the car. The exterior is in decent shape. It has good fenders, doors, trunk lid, and roof. The hood has a few dents in it but is useable. The drivers rear quarter is in bad shape but I have a new rear quarter for it. The car is overall pretty rust free. The interior will need a restoration but it is all there. It is the true original pony interior. It will need new front floor pans but I have the replacements for it. Someone also cut the dash in it but I have another dash section to replace this with it will need to be wire welded in but I have the replacement to fit it. The drive train in it will run and the transmission will shift out but it is not road ready. The carburator will need work and I am sure the motor will need a good tune up. The brakes work. It is just a restoration project that needs restoring. This would make a good project for someone looking to build one. I took pics of everything that comes with it. Its pretty much all here just needs work. I have a clear title to it. It is located in Jonesboro Louisiana. I am going to run it at no reserve so bid to win. If you have questions or need more info just email me or call me at 318-278-1069. I can store it as long as needed but I will require full payment within seven days of the end of auction. I will accept cash in person, certified bank check, or bank wire transfer as payment for this item.

Entry-level F-150 now offers SuperCrew, Sport Package
Thu, 29 Aug 2013Ford has made a few notable tweaks to the lower end of its F-150 lineup, giving customers a more affordable version of the four-door SuperCrew body style. The popular SuperCrew could previously only be had on XLT models and above, but Ford has announced that 2014 F-150s with the base STX trim can get the more versatile body.
The STX SuperCrew brings the price of a four-door F-150 down from $34,525 to $33,145. Like the XLT SuperCrew, the STX will be available with the choice of a 5.5- or 6.5-foot bed, while a 5.0-liter V8 can replace the base 3.7-liter V6 for $4,425. Ford has not released pricing on the different bed lengths yet, but opting for the 6.5-foot bed on the XLT raises the price $1,240 and forces buyers into the 5.0-liter V8. We'd expect a similar arrangement on the STX.
The other big news for fans of affordable pickups is the addition of an STX Sport Package on the base-level truck. It adds 20-inch wheels, black exterior accents, black-and-gray cloth seats and decals on the truck's box. The Sport Package is available on all three of the STX's body styles, with Ford listing the price as $980 with current discounts.
Volvo to shake off Ford ties with new platforms, engines
Sat, 23 Feb 2013
It would seem Volvo is finally getting around to throwing all of Ford's things out of the apartment. Automotive News reports the Swedish automaker is preparing to unleash a range of new engines as well as a fresh platform designed entirely in house. The powerplants include an all-new four-cylinder engine set to bow before the end of this year before arriving in the US by 2014. Shortly thereafter, the world should get its first glimpse at the next-generation XC60, which will the company's first model to make use of the Volvo scalable platform architecture (SPA). US buyers can expect to see that machine on their roads by early 2015.
The next V70 and S80 will also use the SPA, though those models will carry V90 and S90 designations when they hit dealer floors. But that doesn't mean Volvo has completely weened itself off of Ford technology. The V40 will continue to ride on Ford bones until the model's next chassis can be co-developed between Volvo and Geely.
