Well folks let me begin by saying that it was always a dream of mine to restore a 60's Ford Mustang. I began to piece together my plan at the begining of the year when I found this original California 1966 Mustang in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately my family comes first and an unforeseen medical emergency puts my plans on hold for now. I am listing this coupe for sale and prepared to take a loss to sell it fast!!! Car had been stripped of its original 289 engine and 3 speed manual transmission but the body is in excellent condition. NO RUST ANYWHERE!!!! The engine bay, interior floors and under carriage have already been re-sprayed. This is a great project to finish, just pick your engine, interior color and exterior paint. I have already done the following since April 2013:
New complete suspension ($500)
New front disc brakes ($500)
New rear drum brakes ($200)
New rear leaf springs and shocks ($250)
New Shelby Hood ($800)
New front valance ($150)
New rear GT valance ($150 not yet installed)
New GT trumpet exhaust tips ($125 not yet installed)
New steeering wheel ($150 Turqouise, not yet installed)
New gas tank and kit ($150 not yet installed)
New emblems ( $50 not yet installed)
I also have all the original trim, seat frames (re-welded & painted), dash parts, wiring harness, windows, glass and additional parts ready to go with the car. I was setting up this car to be automatic so I also have a C4 automatic transmission ($400) from another 66 Mustang that will go with the sale.
Email me with questions and concerns or for additional pictures. Good luck!
Buyer responsible for pick up but buyer will assist with reputible transport company contact used in the past.
Car is also listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to pull the car from auction at any time.

180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains
Wed, 21 May 2014If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.
Ford Escort testing, may be bound for Europe
Tue, 01 Apr 2014There has been little news about Ford's China-focused Escort concept since debuting at last year's Shanghai Motor Show, but the no-frills sedan has shown its camouflaged face again during cold weather testing in Northern Sweden. While far from a guarantee, the test location might hint that the Blue Oval plans to market the car outside of Asia.
The Escort's black robe and zebra paint make it hard to tell if anything specific has changed about the design, but the shape of the sedan looks close to what was shown in Shanghai. Under the disguise, you can still make out the hexagonal front grille from the concept. When Ford announced the model, the company said that the design wasn't supposed to be "arrogant or pretentious," and it certainly achieved that. The engine range is still a mystery, but it seems safe to expect small, economy-focused powertrains.
A report from last year indicated that Ford may be considering broadening the new Escort beyond Asia and possibly even selling it in Europe. The fact that the company brought it to Sweden for testing could bolster that argument. A release date hasn't been set yet, but the automaker has promised 15 new products for China by 2015. The basic sedan could be on the road soon.
American automakers fall in latest Fortune 500 rankings
Fri, 10 May 2013Not that it means anything beyond bragging rights, but if you're fixated on the positions of domestic automakers on the annual Fortune 500 list, both General Motors and Ford are still on it but they've slipped a couple of notches. The list ranks American companies and they're ordered solely by revenue. GM, fifth last year, came in seventh, while Ford fell from ninth to tenth even though both companies saw small gains in annual revenue.
GM's $152.3 billion in revenue was less than a third of that of the first company on the list: Wal-Mart, which regained the title from Exxon Mobil. Berkshire Hathaway and Apple are the firms that moved GM down. Ford, displaced by energy company Valero, had $134.3 billion in revenue.
On a side note, profitability isn't a factor, but both GM and Ford were down in this year's list compared to last year's: GM declined from $9.2 billion to $6.2 billion, Ford fell from $20.2 billion to $5.6 billion. If profits were included, Exxon Mobil would probably still be king: although the energy company made almost $20 billion less in revenue than Wal-Mart's $469.2 billion, it posted $44.9 billion in profit compared to Wal-Mart's $17 billion.
