Real 1923 Ford T-bucket Low Mileage Great Condition Documented Histroy on 2040-cars
Gardner, Massachusetts, United States
This is true example of a T-Bucket crafted in 1970 from a real 1923 Ford Model T. In the Post Ed Roth era there tends to be a focus on huge V-8 power. This car represents the original 1950's era of T-buckets in the like of Norm Grabowski's 6 cylinder Kookie Kar.
The lifelong and current owner skillfully built the car in 1970 and the vehicle is fully documented as such. Performance: The engine is a 3.8 V6 Chevrolet from the era of it's build. While the engine is mostly stock there is a Holly Street Dominator Carb and Intake Manifold. There are also long tube headers that go into side pipes. The exhaust sounds very deep . Were not sure how much horsepower the engine is making but the car has no problem getting to 100mph. Around town she's a blast to drive. The transmission is a turbo 350. Brakes are non-abs drums and stop the vehicle in a controlled, smooth fashion. The suspension is springs and shocks. Body: The interior upholstery and exterior paint were all done in 2012 by Mikes Auto in Gardner, MA. The finish is flawless in a creamy white gloss with tasteful red pin striping. This vehicle is in excellent shape. The undercarriage is very clean, the frame needs nothing. Unique Touches: The front fenders are not fixed. This custom job allows the great looking front fenders to turn with the wheels. The front turn signals are in the style of retro lamps. There are tastefully installed purple undercarriage lights that look great at night with the white paint. There is a POW tribute theme on the rear of the vehicle. Professionally stored in the winter. Ford finally issues recall for 230K minivans over rust problems
Sun, 10 Mar 2013The rust issue in the rear wheel wells of 2004-2007 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans has finally led to a recall. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began an investigation into the matter in 2011, said investigation being upgraded to an engineering analysis a year later while NHTSA tried to figure out how many model years should be included in the assessment.
Ford has decided to recall all of the 230,000 minivans potentially affected, namely those sold in salt-belt states and countries like Canada. The excess rust in the rear wheel wells was also able to prevent the third-row seats from locking to the floor of the minivan. To repair the problem, owners can take their minivans to dealers, and the dealers will place new panels in the wheel wells, replace the third-row seat mounting brackets and relocate the latches to an area away from any corrosion.
Ford says it will begin notifying owners during the last week of March.
Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang is a track-day weapon with 500 hp
Mon, 17 Nov 2014
Ford promises more than 500 horsepower and a torque peak above 400 lb-ft.
The wait is finally over. After months of spy shots, rumor and innuendo, Ford has officially pulled the wraps off its new Shelby GT350. Judging by the spec sheet and the promises being made - especially that the Shelby GT350 will be "an all-day track car that's also street legal" - the wait appears to have been worth it.
Ford jumps back in the water with marinized 6.2L V8
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Nameplates like the Mercury Mariner and Lincoln Navigator aside, Ford hasn't offered a marine engine in over two decades. But through a new partnership with one of the biggest names in the business, the Dearborn-based automaker is dipping its proverbial toes back in the water.
Announced yesterday at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the new partnership between Ford Component Sales and Indmar Marine Engines will see the 6.2-liter V8 from the F-150 SVT Raptor and F-Series Super Duty marinized for use in boats.
The largest privately owned inboard gasoline marine engine manufacturer in the world, Indmar has been in the business for 43 years, and figures the Ford V8 will be just what watersport enthusiasts are looking for to tow waterskiers and wakeboarders to their hearts' content.
