I'm selling a 1926 Ford T Bucket. This car is full of new parts! It has a GM Performance Crate 350 with only 400 miles on it! It has a Muncie 4 Speed w/ an aftermarket scatter-shield and a 12 Bolt Rear Axle. It has a brand new electric fuel pump, newer chromed alternator, Wildwood adjustable proportioning valve, S.S. brake hoses, MSD ignition, finned aluminum valve covers and oil pan, rear coil over springs, an attractive, clean interior, all new fluids including oil, coolant and brake fluid, and a professional paint job!
The Paint is nice! The Purple with flames really draws attention. This car is extremely fast. It will roast the tires in 2nd gear! The motor has a gear drive on it, so the car sounds like it's supercharged. The chromed headers sound awesome too!
The car was recently purchased by me from a friend who couldn't finish it. It sat in his garage for about 5 years until I picked it up. My friend had over $15,000 into the car. I replaced the battery, built the interior, replaced the fuel pump and fluids, and sorted out a few issues. I need to make room for other projects and want to sell the car. It's ready for cruising and car shows. It's a real attention getter. Everyone loves to check it out. The shift linkage could use some adjustments, and you may find the brakes need fine tuning, but is otherwise a running, driving, fun car that's ready for cruise night. Ford blamed in drug mule lawsuit
Tue, 30 Jul 2013If a college student is caught smuggling drugs across the border, one might think the kid got what was coming to him. But when a Mexican student at the University of Texas in El Paso was caught by Border Patrol agents with duffel bags filled with marijuana in his trunk, the man used a classic excuse: He claimed they weren't his.
While a claim like that is almost unbelievable, Ricardo Magallanes, the student, is now suing Ford for handling its vehicles' key codes negligently enough to allow drug smugglers to break into his Ford Focus and stash the drugs, The Daily Caller reports. The twist here is that four other people who lived in Juarez and worked in El Paso were involved in the same type of scheme - allegedly unwittingly, just like Magallanes - and all the cars were Fords except one model from General Motors. FBI agents also found an employee at a Dallas Ford dealership that had accessed the key codes to all four of the cannabis-stuffed Fords.
While we all may not own Fords, the case still causes us slight paranoia. We'll definitely be checking our trunks before we cross any more international borders.
Ford Recalling 70k Escape and Mariner Hybrids for cooling issue
Fri, 12 Sep 2014Ford is recalling about 70,209 examples of the 2005-2008 Ford Escape Hybrid and the 2006-2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid because the cooling pumps for their hybrid systems could fail.
According to the company's defect notice, it's possible for the original "Motor Electronics Coolant (MEC) Pump" to wear out and fail, which would could cause the hybrid system to overheat. If this happens, the vehicle goes into a safety mode that takes away most or all of its power. However, braking and steering still operate normally. After cooling down, the affected models restart normally. The company says that it's not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this problem.
Ford will begin repairing the vehicles in late October, and dealers will be installing improved, brushless pumps on the affected models at no charge to owners. If drivers had their pumps fail before this recall, they can contact Ford for a possible reimbursement. 'Born of a Blue Sky' brings the Amelia Island Concours to you
Fri, 03 May 2013The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance has more clout every year and is getting a reputation as Pebble Beach minus the madness. Held in March this year, it celebrated Ducati and the 50-year anniversaries of Lamborghini, the Corvette Sting Ray, Porsche 911 and the Ford GT40.
Justin Lapriore was there, and seemingly everywhere, getting footage of the various wares on display on the lawns and the sand and the runway. The resulting video, Born of a Blue Sky, is a 16-minute survey of some of the finer sights and plenty of engine sounds. Check it out below.
