Ford 1929 Model A Fordor Town Sedan -beautiful Body-off Restoration on 2040-cars

This is an extremely nice, restoration of a 1929 Model A Town Sedan Fordor.  It looks like new, the day it was driven out of the factory, with a couple of modern improvements, such as an alternator (which can be removed if the buyer wishes, and a push button starter, which also can be removed if the buyer wishes. And the tail lights are LED which is the better, modern version - which are in the original mountings and look like original.

It is for sale, reluctantly, because the seller has some physical issues which don't allow him to, easily, drive a standard transmission.  The restoration of the car came before these physical issues arose.  I am not the owner, but he is a good friend of mine.

---Headlights - restored, nickel plated (which is great as most restorations use chrome plating, while nickel is technically correct)

---Tail lights on both  rear fenders with LED lights

---Radiator - new, original Style core, new shell (chrome)

---Running boards - new running boards, Correct pattern on steps.

---Roof - new fabric installed, excellent.

      --- All these Model 'B' items  give the car more power than the normal Model 'A'.

     ---Model 'A' high compression head - also gives it more power.

    ---Model 'A' rebuilt water pump

---Push button starter (versus the floor starter) which can easily be put back to original.

---Tranny - rebuilt standard 3 speed.

---Clutch - new clutch plate, fly wheel surface machined.

---Front axle - completely rebuilt

---Rear axle- new bearings, seals, high speed ring gear.

---Chassis - sandblasted, primed and painted

     ---verified straightness

     ---no weld, no cracks.

---Brakes - rebuilt standard mechanical (needs adjusting as Model A brakes tipically do)

      ---Iron mountain brake drum bands installed to improve stopping.

---Tires - slightly used - 4600 miles.

     This is one beautiful, restored, Model A.  It has 4600 miles on the restoration, but I looked carefully at it, and, to me, it looked like it had '0' miles.

The Model A Fordor is a great family car, it rides better than any other Model A style, it is roomy and comfortable.  Now remember, this is a

   1929  Model A, an 84 year old vehicle, so don't compare it with your "modern" car.  But this car will outshine most, if not all, Model A Fordors

   out there.

It will be a fun car to own and drive - you will get admiring looks from everywhere.

The price is high, but the car is worth it.
