This truck was restored by the restoration shop that produced two Fine Point vehicles that won The Henry twice in MARC and First Place in MAFCA National events. It was restored in the same shop, using the same equipment, methods, jigs and fixtures that were used to produce those two award winning vehicles. It has a professional paint job of very high quality. It has aver 95% original hardware, original sheet metal, hood and fenders, etc. The rear fenders and custom stake bed were made from drawings accumulated from the Benson Ford Research Center in Greenfield Village in Detroit, Michigan. We have an addition Model A Tudor that we use for driving on tours, and this has just been in a temperature controlled garage for most of it's existance. It is a GORGEOUS truck in EXCELLANT condition. It has never been more than 8 miles from home. It has less than 300 miles in three years. The motor has been completely rebuilt with a mild high compression head, and the transmission and shift tower have been professionally restored. It has completely new brakes and the rear end has been completely gone thru and completely restored. The gearshift and emergency brake have been properly butler nickel plated. The truck is equipped with two tail lights and turn signals that sound when flashing, and it has a third brake light mounted at the front of the bed. The tail gate an all the stake sides are removable. I built it for my wife to carry hay and items around the farm, but she is fearfull of scratching the 'new' truck. I have been involved more and more with metal shaping and am currently building an aluminum bodied Model A speedster and that is requiring additional types of equipment, and that is the reason for the sale. I am also looking for motor components for a 1928 20 HP Rolls Royce boat tail speedster engine. Any leads would be appreciated. A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of the auction closing, and the balance in 7-days in either cash or preferably a bank wire transfer. NO THIRD PARTY BS or equivalant. I am not interested in shipping, and this vehicle needs to be picked up within 10 days from the conclusion of the auction/sale. I HAVE THIS VEHICLE LISTED LOCALLY, AND CLAIM THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY!

Watch this Ford F-150 SVT Raptor fly like an eagle [UPDATE]

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is a very capable truck right out of the box, but "capable" has never translated into "invincible." Just ask the owner of the machine in this video. In it, the driver gets frisky with an aggressive jump with plenty of speed on his hands. The result is enough air to make Vaughn Gittin Jr. blush. As always, it's not the launch that's painful, but the re-entry. Gravity eventually asserts its dominance over the $43,630 pickup in a big way, and when it comes crashing down, it does so with a vengeance.
The impact was hard enough to set off both the alarm and multiple airbags inside the cabin. It's unclear if anyone was injured in the stunt, but we certainly wouldn't be surprised to hear that was the case. You can check out the stunt in the video below, and remember, when in doubt, back out of the throttle. Be warned, there may be some explicit/NSFW language in the clip.
UPDATE: Second video added with an even better look at the jump added below.

Ford Fiesta ST customs get wild at SEMA

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

The massive 57-car SEMA showcase by Ford ranges from obvious aftermarket-friendly models like the Mustang, to the not so obvious ones, like the Transit Connect and cute-as-an-explosive-button Fiesta ST. Ford plucked several Fiesta STs for SEMA duty, and we were on the show floor today to get a closer look at some of them.
First up is the striking COBB Tuning and Tanner Foust Racing Fiesta ST (above) finished in a black-and-gray digital camouflage, much like that used in the military, and is meant to raise awareness for the Pat Tillman Foundation. COBB also fitted a three-inch exhaust and a cold-air intake. A new shift knob, carbon-fiber hood and a Kicker stereo round out the mix of upgrades.
MRT got its hands on a Fiesta ST and created a car inspired by Forza Motorsport 5 (below, left). Featuring a two-tone paint job and more performance upgrades than you can shake a stick at, this Fiesta ST is one of the cooler compacts at Ford's stand. A high-performance exhaust system, along with a complimentary COBB induction system, allows the ST to breathe better, while an H&R coil over suspension and Steeda brakes help it stop and turn better than stock.

Watch how Ken Block spent his weekend in Barbados

Thu, 22 May 2014

Regardless of what you think of his skill as a racer, Ken Block is an expert showman. At this point, he has a career of showing up around the world to do vehicular stunts, and he's still able to go racing as well. It's a pretty sweet niche to carve out. Recently, Block was in Barbados to participate in Top Gear Live and the first event of the Global Rallycross Championship season, and Ford Racing produced a short video to show off his exploits.
It looked like a great show. Block got to race Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes-Benz Formula One car and had a very weird crash during a Rallycross race that put his Ford Fiesta on its roof. Top Gear also released an extended look at Block and Hamilton's spectacle with the two of them expertly sliding around. Scroll down to watch the videos and get a taste of Block's tropical racing adventure.
