1930 Model A Ford Pickup on 2040-cars
Meeteetse, Wyoming, United States
Here is your chance to own one of these rare and historical pickups. I am the second owner of this truck. The original owner was a carpenter in Victor, Mt. He used it until 1961. I bought it in the 80's and have been working on it ever since but too many projects are still ahead of me, so it has to go. It is partially restored. With the exception of the hood, the entire truck has been sand blasted. The dashboard and fuel tank is painted the original Ford color Straw. All of the wood has been replaced in the top. It has brand new seats (both springs and upholstery). All the glass is new and tinted. All running gear has been checked and replaced as necessary. The engine is a 1932 "B" model and has about 3000 miles on the overhaul. The crank has been drilled and oilers installed in all valves. The head is marked "B" for high compression. The radiator has a small leak and the back 16" tires and rims are NOT INCLUDED. I do have five 19" rims that are included. It starts and runs very well. I use it to "jet" around this small town. The functioning ooooooooga horn is included. It won't take much to restore the looks of this great little truck. I've already done the hard work for you. Please email with any questions. |

Ford board pushing Mulally for decision amidst fears story is drowning out other news
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Automakers and their executives rarely like to divulge information regarding future goings on, but the board of directors at Ford sound like they're getting a little antsy about chief executive officer Alan Mulally and his plans for 2014.
According to Reuters, as news of Mulally's possible departure to Microsoft continues to swirl, Ford's board is looking to push the affable executive to make a decision about his future sooner rather than later. Apparently, the board is growing concerned that this will-he/won't-he drama may end up distracting the media from covering Ford's other big news events next year - items like the debut of key all-new products like the Mustang and F-150.
So far, the picture for Mulally's eventual successor remains fuzzy, but it's understood that the leading candidate remains the company's chief operating officer, Mark Fields. Just recently, we heard that Mulally will stay until the end of 2014, but a few months ago, Ford seemed open to the idea of him stepping down earlier than that.
2015 Ford Mustang production to begin on July 14? Not quite, says Ford
Thu, 10 Jul 2014Mustang6g.com believes that it has unlocked start date for 2015 Ford Mustang production citing a Ford dealer communiqué. According to the report, job one on the 2015 hardtop will allegedly start in just a few days, on July 14, although units that are known as "OK to Buy" won't enter production until September 9. The cars built between those dates are most likely final pre-production cars for the executive test fleet, and will likely include the cars we'll be driving at the media launch.
Sun worshippers, meanwhile, would seem to have a longer wait. Job one on the droptop supposedly isn't slated to start until September 14, with production models starting on October 27. As is the case with the hardtop, these final pre-pros are for the execs and media to test, while actual dealer orders will come from vehicles made after the October date.
After speaking to Ford, though, we wouldn't put a great deal of stock in those dates as reported. We reached out to Said Deep, Ford's North American Product Communications Manager.
2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid recalled over lack of roof padding
Mon, 29 Jul 2013Ford is recalling 33,021 units of its 2013 C-Max Hybrid not equipped with optional panoramic roof panels. During testing, the model in question returned testing results for occupant head injuries that fell outside of criteria laid out in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard. The issue puts occupants at greater risk of injury in the event of a crash if they are in an affected car.
The recall will begin August 19, at which time C-Max Hybrid owners can take their cars to dealers to have energy-absorbent material installed between the headliner and roof. The bulletin below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has more information.
