I'm going to regret this, but having a very bad back and being over 6'1", I'm having my issues, So here it is, A very nice and dependable 1928 Ford Roadster, Fiberglass Car with the exception of the running boards, which are steel, this car was built back in the early 1970's by Anderson Industries { A-I Fiberglass } Which were the premier builders of fiberglass bodies back in the day, Very nice and detailed body reinforced fiberglass with steel and wood, all body panels are Straight and made to fit just like the original, you can replace the doors and fenders with metal ones with no issues, this car is tight with no rattles , the doors shut nice and tight with bear claw latches, has a trunk, also have the hood top which is painted to match the car, no hood sides, the fenders also have the welting between the body and fenders, You don't see that on todays glass bodies, also has a 32 dash.   The paint is original 40 plus years, does have chips and scratches on the fenders from being in a garage for over 40 years, that explains why it only had 10,125 miles on it when I bought it, The paint is still respectable and is a 5 footer, I have gone to 6 car shows and have 6 trophies, the latest one was 2nd place, 2 weeks ago, not bad for original paint, The body is sitting on a 1928 model A frame, which is fully boxed and painted, the rear is a Ford 9" with a 300 ratio, with 4 bar and coil over Shocks , The front Axle is Brand New with a 5" Chrome drop, with posies spring, Chrome spring perches, Chrome shocks, Chrome steering arms, '37-'48 ford spindles with 11" Wilwood disc brakes with the vented covers -  Unisteer Cross steering rack, vega style mount, also a 4 bar set up,  the steering column is also brand new - GM style tilt 16" shorty with no ignition switch {hidden} hooked up to a Steer Clear Steering drop {more leg room} and is a straight shot to the steering rack, very nice job, no issues with bump steer and steers like a go cart, make sure you look at the pics for the steering shafts  - straight ! The engine is a 289 FORD, which was rebuilt when the car was built, 10,125 miles, which is very clean inside { I saw this when I replaced the intake and valve covers} Has a brand new Eldebrock Intake and 4 barrel Carb - Chrome, New valve covers, freshly tuned with a HEI Electronic Ignition, plugs and wires, vacuum hoses, upper and lower radiator hoses and a brand new Walker Radiator. Engine runs strong and does not smoke, also runs cool all day between 170 -180 degrees, no issues, Transmission is a Ford c4,  I was told the transmission was replaced about 10 years ago, brand new, it shifts great and the fluid is clean. I installed The 24" lokar shifter last November. The interior is in very good condition, the seat is showing some age, but no tears or cracks, I was going to replace the interior anyway, has brand new carpet, all the gauges do work, the gas guage acts a little funky sometimes, Has a 10 gallon tank, which I was going to upgrade to a 15, which is in the trunk. Has all new Fuel lines and brake lines, also upgraded the brake master Cylinder to a double bowl, The wheels and tires are also brand new Tork Thrust- 16" rear - 265/70/16 and 14" 195/70/14 front. I'm sure I described everything on this car, but I might have missed something, I'm an old hotrod guy, can't remember everything, This car is not a trailer queen, I built it to drive, It is a trophy queen,  It drives straight, its fast and steers like a go cart, And its only loud if you lay into it, I put  a reserve on it, but I might sell to the highest bidder , depending on high how it goes, so bid with confidence, this is a really nice driving car, There is no warranties , no warranties applied, I reserve the right to end this auction at any time, car is for sale locally, Clear title in my hand, check or money order within 5 days of sale in the amount of $500.00, non refundable, car to be picked up within 10 days at auction end, unless other arrangements are made.  Prefer no paypal ,  Remaining balance to be paid when car picked up - Cash is King, checks will have to clear bank before I release the car, Buyer responsible for shipping, I will help loading the car, Any Questions call mike at 443-221-0354

Ford wins second consecutive International Van of the Year award with Transit Connect

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

The redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect isn't even on sale yet, but it's already making its presence felt around the world. At a commercial vehicle expo in Russia, the Transit Connect was named the International Van of the Year.
Ford's small work van edged out the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter by just seven points to allow Ford to grab this honor for the second consecutive year, which it won last year with the Transit Custom. Not only does this make Ford the first to ever win the award in back-to-back years, but it's also the fifth time the automaker has won this award since 2003 (two with the Transit Connect, two with the fullsize Transit and once with the Transit Custom). Ford congratulates itself for the accomplishment in a press release posted below.

Former Ford president, Jaguar chairman Nick Scheele dead at 70

Sun, 20 Jul 2014

We have the privilege here at Autoblog of reporting a lot of good news, but it is our duty as well to report the bad news and sad news as well. And this is one of those occasions as the automotive industry mourns the passing of one of its leaders.
Nick Scheele was born in the UK in 1944 and joined the Ford Motor Company upon graduating from the University of Durham in 1966, staying within the Blue Oval's portfolio for the entirety of his career. After moving to North America in 1978, he rose through the ranks to become president of Ford's Mexican operations in 1988. After acquiring Jaguar, Ford appointed Scheele as its chairman.
Scheele subsequently acted as chairman of all of Ford's European operations, making difficult decisions to take the division out of the red and into the black. He briefly headed up Ford's North American division before he was appointed in 2001 as president and chief operating officer of the global automaker, working under CEO Bill Ford following the departure of Jacques Nasser departure and retaining the role until his retirement in 2005.

NHTSA investigating 725k Ford, Mercury vehicles for stalling issue

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Owners of Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner, Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan models, listen up. According to a report on Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation into these four vehicles totaling an estimated 725,000 units. The investigation appears to center around a malfunctioning throttle body on non-hybrid models of the 2005-2012 Escape and 2011-2012 Fusion. With Mercury dying off after the 2011 model year, this probe will also apply to the 2005 through 2011 Mariner and the 2011 Milan. There has been some discussion around the Escape stalling issue for some time now, but this investigation appears to be larger in scope than before.
Though not a recall yet, NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received 123 complaints of stalling or surging vehicles, while Ford itself has logged 1,472 complaints. The investigation report, which is posted below, seems to indicate that a faulty circuit board for the throttle body could cause the vehicle to go into limp mode, which, according to NHTSA, could cause complaints of both stalling and surging.
