This is a 1928 Ford Model A Sedan w/ a Chevy 350 & a 700 R transmission. Everything from the water pump to the tip of the transmission is chromed, polished or other wise shinny, with the except of the block, and heads. The car has four wheel disc breaks, all chromed four bar front end & four bar rear end with a ford 9" rear end on a TCI chassis w/ SS brake and gas lines. The rear fenders have been split and 3" were added to the fender a mini tub in the interior. Will fit approx.10" to 12" tire in the back. Car has a steel roof with integrated sun visor and power windows in the front. The door handles have been shaved. The car has just been painted a Inferno Orange Metallic from the new Camaro. At some point the classic Falcon GT - said to be an XY series - was invited to a test of acceleration against a Lamborghini Gallardo. At the very least, the Falcon GT had a 351 cubic-inch motor and 300 horsepower, but whatever this guy's got under the hood of his yellow sedan makes has him so confident that he doesn't even move his elbow from its resting place on the door.

The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.
