Up for sale is a 1966 Galaxie 500 Convertible 7Litre Edition. I wont bore you with all of the history but this is a rare and sought after piece. The car is "Q" code 428 4V with an automatic transmission. It retains its original engine and transmission. The engine will start with the key and run, there is no gas tank so I have a gas can to run it off of if you would like to here it start. We jacked up the rear end and the trans went into gear and moved the tires. The brakes are bad so I have not tried to actually drive the car. The car has power steering, which works, air conditioning, power disc brakes on the front and rear drums. Most of the 7 litre emblems are still on it. The body is in need of a complete restoration. It has rust in the floor pans, mainly the rear, the trunk, and the rear quarter. The frame appears to be solid. I have all four hub caps that are specific to the 7 litre, they are a little beat up but are there. The interior in mostly complete. Seats are fair. You can see them in the pictures. Almost all of the electrical in the car is in tact. Headlights work, taillights, turns came and stuck on (bad flasher), and even the door panel lights turned on when you open the doors. The car is a great project car with most of its original parts still in tact. Please contact me with any questions, lots of my auctions end with an honest phone call. 765-376-3486 Thanks and Happy Bidding!!!!

2015 Ford Mustang [w/videos]
Thu, 05 Dec 2013
It'd be unwise to bet against the sixth generation of this legendary nameplate.
The 2015 Ford Mustang is assuredly the most anticipated new vehicle of the year. The redesigned Pony Car has been the subject of frantic gossiping and covert spy photos covering everything from the way it looks to the tech it will include, its performance, mechanicals and a bevy of other aspects of Ford's performance icon.
Ford recalling 65k Fusions from 2014 and 2015 because key can be removed
Tue, 18 Nov 2014Ford is recalling an estimated 64,869 examples of the 2014-2015 Fusion, Fusion Energi and Fusion Hybrid in North America because the key can be removed when the vehicle isn't in Park under certain conditions. Specifically, the campaign covers 56,479 units in the US, 6,048 in Canada and 2,342 in Mexico, according to the automaker's tally on November 11.
Ford says a programming problem in the instrument cluster means that the key can be removed 30 minutes after the ignition is turned off, even if the transmission is not in Park. The situation where this could happen seems quite limited, and the company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the issue. However, the fault puts the vehicle out of compliance with federal regulations covering theft protection and rollaways, and must be repaired.
The fix is easy: Ford will reprogram the instrument cluster at no cost to consumers. According to Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker in an email to Autoblog, "We will notify customers the week of January 5th." Scroll down to read Ford's announcement.
GM readying aluminum-body fullsize pickups
Wed, 19 Feb 2014Ford's extensive use of aluminum in its 2015 F-150 is a big deal. A really big deal. Big enough, in fact, that General Motors is reportedly changing its fullsize pickup strategy. According to The Wall Street Journal, The General has locked in partnerships with Alcoa Inc. and Novelis Inc. - companies that will supply aluminum for the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks.
"Ford's introduction of the 2015 F-150 pickup truck was a game changer, and it's the first, not the last, conversion of this type," Novelis spokesperson Charles Belbin told the Journal. The switch to aluminum has allowed Ford to shave roughly 700 pounds off its fullsize truck's curb weight. And while official mileage ratings have not been announced, the weight loss should go a long way for improving efficiency, especially when combined other efficiency-minded improvements including better aerodynamics and new, turbocharged V6 engines.
Of course, aluminum-bodied cars are nothing new. But extensive use of aluminum in a major, best-selling product like the Ford F-150 is expected to kick off widespread use of this weight-saving material as availability rises and cost decreases. The WSJ reports that GM had originally explored the idea of moving to aluminum pickups back in 2008, but abandoned the idea due to cost concerns amid economic woes.
