No Reserve Auction!

Time to thin the "someday I will get to it" cars. Would love to see a galaxie enthusiast buy and restore this Very original 1962 galaxie project that is up for auction.  Originally a Z-code 290 4bbl club Victoria trim level.  Has power steering and power brakes!!  Someone had started to do some upgrades and cleaning up and obviously lost interest in it. Vehicle is sold with a bill of sale and title will be forwarded to the buyer when it arrives (previous owner lost it, new title on the way 2-3 weeks ETA)

This galaxie is still its correct Black exterior with red interior.  Appears to be 85% original paint with only one or two areas of touch up or repair. Paint is faded, chipped, scratched and had a couple dings/dents all shows in the pictures. Interior is very good for being in original condition.  All of the parts to reassemble motor and trans appear to be with the car. We have a 390 and C6 that is included with the car if buyer would like to have it. Under the hood and front suspension have been cleaned up. New springs, bushings etc.. Included with the car are the rest of the front suspension parts that were not installed at this time. (new bushings, balljoints, etc..) All new and in plastic still.   There is no rust issues to speak of. In the pictures below there is a pic of the one pinhole I found. nothing in quarters, floors, or trunk.  Probably one of the most solid ,unrestored  galaxies around.

Please be aware that it has been sitting and will require attention to most all items to make sure it is road worthy after a long storage.  Car rolls and steers easily.  There is a $500 deposit due at auction close.  We can arrange transport for our international buyers or have car shipped out to you here in the states.   Thanks for looking and bid to win as this is a no reserve auction!

Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally lands on Google board

Wed, 16 Jul 2014

Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally often referred to the Blue Oval as a technology company when he led the automaker. Now he'll be offering guidance to a different kind of technology firm: Google.
Mulally was appointed to Google's board of directors July 9, and late Tuesday, it was announced that he will serve on the company's audit committee. The veteran executive led Ford from September 2006 until he retired in June, succeeded by Mark Fields.
While Mulally will act as a board member - rather than in a managerial role - his presence adds credibility to Google's recently announced plans to produce an autonomous car. The ambitious program calls for 100 prototypes to begin testing later this summer. Production of the car is rumored to be in collaboration with a Detroit area performance company, Roush.

Are you Ford's next Bullitt Mustang? [w/poll]

Thu, 27 Mar 2014

Ford has a long history of offering special editions of its legendary Mustang. One of the most vaunted of those trim packages, though, has only been offered twice. The first time was in 2001, and then again in 2008. Yes, we're talking about the Bullitt.
Named for the infamous Dark Highland Green Mustang Fastback driven by Steve McQueen in the 1968 cop melodrama Bullitt, the car was famous for not just its pilot, but the high-speed chase it took part in during the movie. Now, we think we have images of the next Bullitt.
According to our spy photographers, the paint is a "dead-ringer" for the Dark Highland Green that has signified these special edition Mustangs. While we're inclined to agree, it's also worth pointing out that this shade looks very similar to one of the 2015's other new colors, Guard. We've yet to see one on the road (let alone in such dreary conditions), so it's tough to say for certain.

You can now order Domino's pizza from your Sync-equipped Ford

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

The news keeps pouring in from the Consumer Electronics Show now underway in Las Vegas, and the latest comes from Ford which has announced two new apps for its Sync AppLink system.
First up is a cooperative app launched by Ford together with Domino's Pizza that lets drivers of the former order pizza from the latter right from their car. The service allows those with Ford Sync AppLink in their car or truck and are registered with a Domino's Pizza Profile to place an order for their favorite pie using Dearborn's voice-recognition software for either pickup or delivery. Save your information in your Pizza Profile and it'll be sent to your house without even the push of a button, which strikes us as awesome a use of technology as we've ever seen.
