Ford: Focus Hatchback on 2040-cars
Red Oak, Texas, United States
2014 Shelby Focus ST 3. One of only eight ( 8 ) total ever made. One of only four 2014 made. The ST 3 is the designation used to the top tier Focus ST (Meaning it came with all the options, including Recaro Seats.) I bought this car from the dealer with all options available, and when I sent it to Shelby to be built, I included all options they offered. After all was said and done, I spent total about $50,000.I have a 1987 GLHS Shelby Charger that is numbered, and I wanted to do this car to go along with it. This car is on the Shelby Registry, as with every car they build. In with the pictures is the full build sheet from Shelby, including the prices. Only 4000 Miles SIX SPEED Not only is this car a RARE collectors item, but it is one of the most spectacular car to drive. A Stock Focus ST has around 250HP, with the mods that Shelby put on, this car has around 300HP.With suspension work, this car is ready for the track, or to just zip around on your daily commute. Some of the options this car has from the factory: Recaro Seats. Sunroof. TouchScreen Nav. Sony 9 speaks Stereo system with Sub. Remote Start with keyless FOB. Some of the options this car has from Shelby: Larger intercooler. Willwood Big Brake Kit (front & Rear). Eibach Suspension. Shelby Rims. Borla Exhaust System.

Ford considering return to Le Mans with new EcoBoost LMP2
Mon, 21 Jul 2014If you want to see a Ford racing prototype, you need look no further than the United SportsCar Championship, where the Blue Oval fields two Daytona Prototypes powered by an EcoBoost-branded 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. But according to the latest rumors, that may not be enough for Ford, which has as much brand to promote overseas as it does back home.
That could be why Racer magazine is reporting that Ford may be poised to return to Le Mans in the coming years. As we all know, Ford competed at Le Mans in the mid-through-late '60s, bringing home four consecutive overall wins with the legendary GT40. The new program would not, according to Racer, seek to relive those glory days, but would instead compete for class wins in the LMP2 category.
Currently, LMP2 regulations are somewhat split between the United SportsCar Championship in North America on the one hand and ACO-sanctioned series like the European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series and FIA World Endurance Championship on the other, but plans are underway for the regulations to be unified in time for the 2017 season. That could be when Ford is targeting its return, allowing it to compete on both sides of the Atlantic to maximize its exposure.
Evo grabs Ford's Fiesta R5 rally car by the scruff
Wed, 04 Sep 2013Evo and host Henry Catchpole were thinking of excuses reasons to borrow the bonkers Ford Fiesta R5 rally car for a day or two, when it struck them: the car is street legal. With access to the R5, some of the world's most beautiful driving roads in the English Lake Country nearby, and a handy video crewing hanging around, the plan seemed to write itself.
Based on the resulting video, it was a good plan. Without spoiling the video for you - something we can't really do in text as the best part is listening to the rally car run - Catchpole finds the Fiesta to be sublimely quick and massively satisfying. Even taking the car for a spin on a pseudo rally stage, after leaving the English countryside, does nothing but add to his assessment of the beastly little Ford. Scroll on below to see for yourself, and enjoy the ride.
Ford announces 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition
Tue, 09 Apr 2013Ford has pulled the wraps off its anticipated 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition model, a new variant of the popular street-legal off-road specialist. In a nutshell, the "special" is all cosmetic - there are no mechanical upgrades to the truck and its 6.2-liter V8 (411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque), Torsen limited-slip differential, beadlock-capable wheels and internal triple-bypass FOX Racing Shox dampers all remain untouched.
The SVT Raptor Special Edition, which adds cosmetic enhancements to the existing Luxury Package, will be offered in Ruby Red Metallic and Tuxedo Black Metallic with box-side graphics. The interior upgrades include Brick Red seat bolsters (with black inserts), cloth honeycomb highlights and a console top finish panel.
As of now, Ford has only release a couple pictures of the Special Edition model. But check back later, as we will update the gallery when additional high-res images are released later today, and be sure to peruse the press release below for all the details.
