2003 Ford Focus Zx3 Svt 2 Owner Low Mileage Garage Kept 6sp Must See Very Nice on 2040-cars

 Hello,

Up for sale is my 2003 Ford Focus SVT (3-door.) It has just over 99,445K(still use it as my "weekend driver" so mileage might be slightly higher just to keep in mind.) It has been maintained by the local ford dealer and the oil was changed every 3000 miles. Has many new parts including rotors, brake pads, tires, and the Ignition tumblers replaced(common and costly Focus repair that seemed to plague the 2000-04 Focus's.)

The car is in great shape and is currently used as my "2nd/backup" car. The car is powered by the 2.0L DOHC 170hp engine and has a 6 speed manual transmission. It is red with red/black interior and is fully loaded. Has the optional "cold weather package", moon roof, power everything, ect . I just recently purchased and installed a brand new pare of EURO/HID Headlights which makes the car look amazing compared to what it originally came with.

It really is a well kept, documented and cared for 2-door SVT Focus. Was NEVER raced, beat on, smoked in at all. I am the 2nd owner and do have lots of paperwork (receipts ect) that goes with the car. For 2003 with this color and interior combo Ford has online that it is 1 or 1010 made. You will NOT be disappointed. I'm asking $6000 but am open to offers. Clear PA title in hand. Any questions please feel free to email or call 570 -778- 10 79. Thank You!

***Just wanted to add that on some of the dates on the bottom of the pictures are completely wrong.  I just took them this afternoon(8/5) so they are current.  Also as you can tell I had EURO HID headlights installed.  This really is a well kept and rust free SVT Focus which was mostly garage kept.  Again, it does have some minor scratches but NOTHING major at all, you will NOT be disappointed.  Always was adult driven and never "raced or beat on" like many are.  I am the 2nd owner and purchased it 6 months ago(which was an older man who he let his middle aged daughter used until the family started to "out grow" the car.)

Unfortunately, I have to let her go because I am fixing up this rental property and ran into a BIG problem with the house.  Also I do have a factory Single Disc CD player instead of that aftermarket one(which works good) but just in-case you decide to install the factory one back.  Pictures speak louder than words!  Enjoy and Good Luck!  Any questions please feel free to email or call/text my cell phone at 570-778-1079.  Thanks for your interest!

Ex-PR chief Vines accuses Ford of bugging cars, phones

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

Jason Vines, former head of communications at Ford among other automakers, is accusing the Blue Oval of bugging his company phone and his car during the Firestone tire recall for the Explorer in 2001. The allegations have come to light in Vines' upcoming book What Did Jesus Drive? Crisis PR in Cars, Computers and Christianity.
According to The Detroit News, which has an advance copy of the book, Vines (pictured above) claims that after leaving the company, someone with security within Ford advised him that he had been bugged around the time of the recall. The allegations don't stop there, though. Vines further contends that he might not have been the only one to get this treatment, noting that then-general counsel John Rintamaki also believed he was being listened to.
According to The Detroit News, even if it had been a company phone, recording Vines without his knowledge still would have been a felony under Michigan law.

NHTSA closes investigations into Ford Taurus, Hyundai Santa Fe

Wed, 03 Jul 2013

Ford and Hyundai are out from under the scrutinizing eyes of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration after the government agency said it was closing investigations against both automakers over vehicle safety concerns.
Ford was being investigated for reported damaged speed control cables on Ford Taurus (shown above) and Mercury Sable models, both built between 2000 and 2003. Vehicles with the company's Duratec engines allegedly failed to allow owners to brake as expected. Owners lodged 100 complaints and were involved in five accidents, according to NHTSA records. The American automaker responded to the reports, and on June 21 of this year, said that it would inspect and repair all affected vehicles, regardless of the mileage.
Hyundai was under investigation for a reported loose fastener on the steering shaft of its 2011 Santa Fe (shown in the gallery below). After NHTSA launched its inquiry, the Korean automaker responded with its own investigation that yielded four affected vehicles. Following the inspection of 680 vehicles at its assembly plant, Hyundai said the issue was due to employee error and that no further defects have been found.

New Ford Police Interceptor tech protects cops' backsides

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

It was only a matter of time before law enforcement agencies would realize the potential of driver-assist technology for use in their Ford Police Interceptors, and, now that they have, those back-up cameras and radar systems won't be used just for parking, but for security, as well.
The surveillance mode system works when the camera or radar detects movement from behind the vehicle, and if it does when it's activated, an alarm will alert the officer inside the car, the driver's side window will roll up and the doors will lock, protecting the officer from an unwanted intrusion. The officer, of course, has the option to turn surveillance mode off, mainly in urban areas where pedestrians would constantly set the alarm off, and it can only be activated when the police car is in park.
Randy Freiburger, Ford's police and ambulance fleet supervisor, came up with the patent-pending idea when researching the needs of police officers and riding along with them, during which time he realized officers would be safer with an extra set of eyes watching the area behind their cars, especially at night or when they're completing paperwork, using the in-car computer or handling a radar gun. "Unfortunately, there are people with bad intentions who sneak up on police officers," he says.
