Up for auction is a great running 2003 ford focus, 4 door sedan. Its is powered by a 2.0, 4 cyl engine and a manual 5 speed tranny with only 124k actual miles. This focus does have a rebuilt title from an accident that happened years ago. I just installed a new complete clutch after I took this car in trade because the throw-out bearing was noisy. I have driven this car about 500 miles since putting the clutch in to make sure it was a dependable vehicle and this is what I found : The car runs, drives and stops great and it is great on gas (over 32 mpg) The tires are decent and it is vt state inspected til september 1st. there is some rust on the rocker panels which is comon on focuses but easily repaired or replaced. there is a crack in the windshield near the bottom left corner. To sum it all up this is a great running, turn key and drive car that is great on gas and priced to sell ! I am a vt licensed used car dealer and i can provide a in=transit plate at no charge if you are from outside of vt and wish to drive it home. I am about 50 miles from the Burlington airport and I have a guy that will meet you there and bring you directly to my place for $100 cash, I am 15 miles from the Amtrak station in Randolph and I can meet you there with the car if you wish to come in on the train. If you decide to have the car shipped, i will store it free for upto 30 days while you arrange to have it picked up. Ford dissects the heart of the 2015 Mustang, its engine range
Thu, 05 Dec 2013Happy Mustang Day. Are you tired of hearing about the 2015 Ford Mustang yet? No? Good, here's a bunch of mechanical data on Ford's sixth-gen muscle car, along with cutaways of the GT's 5.0-liter V8 and the new 2.3-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder shown above. We also have a smattering of info on the Stang's updated transmissions and an exploded-parts-diagram view of its all-new independent rear suspension.
Ford is set to make waves offering the Mustang with a turbo for the firs time since the small-volume SVO of the 1980s. Displacing 2.3 liters, the engine's twin-scroll turbo should help the four-cylinder turn out a projected 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, while also returning the best fuel economy in the Mustang's engine lineup. As we said in our Deep Dive, the EcoBoost will be slotted in as a premium engine, above the 3.7-liter V6 but below the 5.0-liter V8.
Speaking of that high-revving eight-cylinder, it's receiving a new cylinder head with high-flow ports. The intake and exhaust valves are larger and the cams have been replaced, among other tweaks. It should rev even higher thanks to a rebalanced crankshaft and forged connecting rods. Ford is still claiming a projected 420 hp and 390 lb-ft, although as many of the changes for the 2015's V8 come from the 2013 Boss 302, we're going to assume there's some sandbagging at work.
Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
Auto critic calls out Corvette, Mustang and Cherokee faithful

But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long.
