This car has had a boat load of money spent on it, by me and the previous owner. When I got the car the previous owner had spent around $22,000.00 on the car. Then I spent about another $6,000.00 on it to finish it up. I don't expect to get back all the money that has gone into this car, that is just not the way this car thing works as you probably know. I will tell you that my reserve is considerably less than what was spent to get it to this point of completion. It has been tubed with a fuel cell in the trunk. (one of the nicest tub jobs I have seen) It has a 9" ford rear end in it with all new components, Mark Williams Master Line Hi Performance Axles. It has headers with stainless exhaust It has a built 302, the guy said it was a 331 stroker motor, but I can't say for sure. It runs real strong. It has a built automatic in it, but it is not a c4 or a c6. I think it's a metric ford automatic. Virtually everything on this car is new or rebuilt. All the running gear, suspension, paint, interior, tires and wheels. The color is two tone Tacoma silver on the bottom and dark charcoal gray metallic on top. There are lime green and purple hand laid pinstripes separating the two colors, (They look nicer than it sounds) along with some pen striping on the trunk, hood and red and black ones on the dash. I know I am forgetting some stuff, so you can ask any questions you may have. There has been around 28,000.00 put into this car, the paint and interior were done in the last 6 months. The tub job, which is one of the best I have seen was 6500.00 not including the rear-end or springs. Check out the back seat, it is not shortened up like most tubed jobs. As you can see the under side of the car looks as good as the top side. You couldn't build this car for what you can buy it for, if your grandmother gave you the car to start with. Bill Ford augments his power by nearly doubling stake of supervoting shares
Fri, 28 Jun 2013Bill Ford Jr. has more sway than ever over the automaker that bears his surname, as the great-grandson of Ford's founder has reportedly doubled is holdings of Class B Ford stock. According to a report from Reuters (which cites a newly discovered securities filing), he acquired some 3.7 million Class B shares from an unnamed family member.
Class B shares of Ford stock are held by descendants of Henry Ford and offer expanded voting power to their holders - Bill Ford Jr. now controls roughly 11.5 percent of the total Class B pool. Ford Jr. is also a one of five trustees that manage a voting trust that oversees the majority of these "supervoting" shares. In total, Reuters reports there are 71 million Class B shares that account for 40 percent of the voting power in the company, despite making up just 2 percent of the total volume of all Ford stock.
Ford Jr. served as Ford's CEO until 2006, when he stepped down to hire and make space for current CEO, Alan Mulally. The move to consolidate Ford family voting power, at least somewhat, is seen by many as a comforting sign with Mulally's departure from the company likely to happen in the next several years.
Ford confirms launch of new Tourneo vans and Ecosport in Europe for Geneva
Sun, 24 Feb 2013We've already seen plenty of what the Geneva Motor Show will have in store for us in less than two weeks, but most of the confirmed debuts that were announced so far have generally been luxury or performance cars. Ford, on the other hand, will be showing off a couple of its new family-friendly models for European buyers to enjoy.
On the larger side of things, the full range of Tourneo vans (shown above) will be on display, including the introduction of the new Tourneo Courier model, but Ford will also be showing off the all-new EcoSport crossover, which is based on the automaker's Global B platform and will be positioned beneath the Kuga, better known here as the Escape. The subcompact EcoSport was originally unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show last April.
Tanner Foust gets eponymous hotted-up Ford Focus ST from Cobb Tuning
Thu, 14 Mar 2013Racer and Top Gear USA host Tanner Foust has partnered up with Cobb Tuning to create a special-edition Ford Focus ST. The limited-edition hatches will come packing a reflashed ECU, special intercooler, tweaked intake and freer-flowing exhaust for up to 20 percent more power than the stock creation. Cobb says that the changes should push the final dyno figure to above 300 horsepower. Buyers can also expect to find special carbon fiber aerodynamic bits on board along with a new grille, graphics and wheels. Cobb hasn't released pricing on this Tanner Foust Edition Ford Focus ST as of yet, but you can bet the whole kit won't be cheap.
Fortunately, the company will sell you bits and pieces from the overall package for your Ford, and word has it engineers are also whipping up a Foust Fiesta ST.
