1960-65 Ford Falcon Station Wagon, Unique- 3 Door Station Wagon! on 2040-cars
Eutaw, Alabama, United States
1960-65*** Ford Falcon Station Wagon, 3 Door.
(NOTE *** Ebay requires a year model to post the ad - "1960" was entered but I DO NOT know the year model) Based on the information I have (provided below) I do not know exactly what year this Falcon was produced. The car has been stored in a barn in the South for at least 30 years. As you can see from the pictures, the engine is covered with straw and debris. It looks like all the parts for the rear door and window are in the back of the car. The tires are flat. Key is in the ignition. To follow is the information found on the door panel: Body = 59A Color = (blank) Trim = 54A Date = 14M DSO = 0093 Axel = 9 Trans = 1 Serial Number = 2A21S114085 The car is white and it looks like it had a tan/grey type interior. Best I can tell there is very little exterior rust, at least any serious accumulation that would require extensive repair. For the record: 1) It does not run, 2) There is no title (it is long gone), 3) the purchase will be AS IS, 4) No Returns EMAIL WITH ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING. ALL BIDS ARE FINAL. You will be responsible for: providing a trailer to move the car and loading the car. There will NOT BE any additional equipment available for assisting this process. The item is LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. NO DELIVERY You must pay CASH on PICKUP. You will be provided a Bill of Sale - AFTER - you confirm pickup on EBAY - BEFORE you leave with the vehicle. |

European car sales up 8% in February
Sat, 22 Mar 2014Three weeks ago an analyst increased projections for European car sales this year, expecting them to climb three percent compared to last year instead of 2.7 percent. That number is a postive sign after years of hard times but it turns out February was especially good, overall European sales climbing eight percent on a wave of southern European recovery and discounts - and this comes after five months of gains including January's 7.2-percent jump over the year before.
The only country of Europe's five largest markets to post a decline was France, just as it did in January, Germany, the UK and Italy posting solid double-digit numbers, Spain rocking the charts with an 18-percent increase because of a government program to encourage trade-ins.
The only brand to miss the wave was Volkswagen, dropping 0.8 percent as it watched the double-digit growth at sister brands Audi, Seat and Skoda lift the Volkswagen Group sales up by seven-percent. Peugeot overcame flat sales at Citroën to improve the group by 3.5 percent, BMW and the Mercedes-Benz/Smart combo rose by four percent, the Fiat group jumped 5.8 percent, Ford was up 11 percent, the Renault Group 11.5 percent, General Motors 12 percent and the Toyota clan by 14 percent.
NHTSA and Ford investigating steering issues in Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Marauder
Fri, 11 Jul 2014There may be more steering woes for the Ford Crown Victoria. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary evaluation into the Crown Vic and Mercury Grand Marquis from the 2004 to 2007 model years and the Mercury Marauder for the 2004 and 2005 model years because the steering shaft can jam. The issue could potentially affect an estimated 500,000 vehicles.
According to the regulator, there is a possibility that the driver's side heat shield for the exhaust manifold can rust, dislodge, and then wedge into the steering shaft. If this occurs, it leads to a situation where the driver can no longer control the car.
NHTSA has received five complaints of this happening, including one alleged case with an injury. In that situation, the car was driving onto the highway, lost control and rolled over. One occupant was hurt in the accident.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
