This 81 has a 5.0 V8 out of a 95 Mustang GT. It has however been changed to a carbinstead of fuel injection. The motor has around 80,000 miles on it and before it was installed all of the gaskets were changed. It does not leak or smoke that I can see. It has an Edelbrock intake with a Holley 4 bbl carb. BBK ceramic headers attached to a Streetflow Dual exhaust. It has a rebuilt C4 trans with a shift kit rebuilt in 2012. The rear end is a 7.5" with 3:08 gears non posi. It has been lowered in all 4 corners with 2in Ibach lowering springs and all new shocks. It also has all new front bearings, rear axel seals, And complete brakes. Rotors, drums, shoes, pads. in addition to new alignment, front and rear sway bar, power steering, ignition system, rack and pinion, and u joints. I am probably forgetting something but I have a sheet with what has been done, how much and some dates. Also a folder full of receipts.

The body is in great shape. It does have some hail damage and a dent in the passenger fender among other bumps and scratches. It has a factory sunroof that is removable. I also have the storage case for the sunroof. The windows are tinted. The back part of the roof was a vinyl top but we pulled it off cause it was sun cracked and sanded and painted. The spoiler is from an 89-90 Firebird and painted the same as the roof. The wheels are from a mustang and have BFG tires on them.

The interior is in good shape. The dash has some cracks and a hole in the middle from someone putting a speaker in it. I have a black dash mat over it. The drivers seat has some wear and cracks in the bottom corner where you get in and out. Other than that the seats are in great shape. The carpet is in great shape as well. The headliner is missing the material. The cardboard that is glues too is there and in good shape.

The car runs and drives smooth and is quick. The title is clean and clear.

2014 Ford F-150 gets CNG option

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Ford is toiling away, installing heavy-duty engine components into select 3.7-liter V6s to allow them to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquid petroleum gas (LPG) in addition to gasoline. That's nothing new, but now, Ford has announced that it will offer the 2014 F-150 with this engine configuration, bringing the Blue Oval's total number of CNG/LPG-friendly vehicles up to eight. The F-150 will be the only half-ton pickup on the market that can run on these gases.
Ford will charge $315 per vehicle to equip the optional engine, but the trucks won't be ready to run on the alternative fuels straight from the factory and must be upfitted with additional equipment. A Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier will install a separate fuel system for the compressed gases at a cost of $7,500 to $9,500, depending on fuel tank size. With the right-size tank, the F-150 equipped with the CNG/LPG-prepped engine can go 750 miles on one tank of gas, according to Ford, averaging 23 miles per gallon.
The practice of offering flex-fuel vehicles is gaining momentum as businesses take advantage of cheap gas. CNG can be bought for $2.11/gallon on average (per gasoline equivalent), and sometimes for as little as $1.00 in some parts of the US, Ford states. "With the money saved using CNG, customers could start to see payback on their investment in as little as 24 to 36 months," says Jon Coleman, Ford's fleet sustainability and technology manager. The automaker expects to sell a total of 15,000 CNG/LPG-prepped vehicles in the 2014 model year.

2015 Ford Mustang renders reveal look of the real thing

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

This is, according to the pony-car obsessed kids over at Mustang6G.com, the closest, most accurate rendering of the new, 2015 Ford Mustang to date. Artis Chazcron used a combination of Ford CAD images and information from assorted spy shots to assemble a fairly handsome car, albeit one that conforms to the tired cliché of being more evolutionary than revolutionary.
Now, it's very important to note that these are still speculative renders, and that they only represent the base car - that could explain the lack of the Mustang's vestigial side scoops, along with other, newer styling cues that Mustang6G seems to think will arrive on production models. Those items include a new, double-bubble roof, although the Mustang aficionados claim that even if it were present, it'd barely be visible from these angles.
The front end is pretty spot on, compared to what we've seen from earlier spy shots, while the tail, with its interesting light design is something new. The louvered taillights look quite different from the current version, obviously, though Mustang has gone the whimsical route with taillights before. Also, note the new rear diffuser uses an integrated reverse light and rear foglight, the latter of which is required for sale in Europe.

Ford worker files for UAW dues refund, stirs right-to-work debate

Sun, 24 Aug 2014

Let's start with some history: Ford's Dearborn truck plant, part of the company's massive River Rouge complex, was the center of a strike in 1941 that led to Ford signing the first "closed shop" agreement in the industry. The agreement obliged every worker at the plant to be a dues-paying member of the United Auto Workers. In December 2012, however, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder signed legislation making Michigan a right-to-work state, which outlawed closed shops. The new law gave workers the right to opt out of union membership and stop paying dues even if they were still covered by union activities like collective bargaining. For employees at the Dearborn plant, the right-to-work clauses take effect at the end of their current contract in 2015.
As a tool-and-die maker at Ford's Dearborn plant for 16 years, Todd Lemire pays dues to the UAW - about two hours' salary per month. However, he's been unhappy with the UAW's support of the Democratic party, and not wanting to wait until next year to be out of the UAW entirely he invoked his Beck Rights, which state that a non-member of a union does not have to pay dues to support non-core activities, such as political spending. But Lemire wasn't happy that Ford still subtracted the total amount of dues, with the UAW reimbursing the difference, so he filed suit with the National Labor Relations Board, feeling that the workaround violates his rights.
Lemire's case is just a week old, so it could be a while before a resolution. Yet, as September 15, 2015 draws near and the right-to-work laws take full effect for Michigan workers - and others wonder whether it could help revitalize the state's manufacturing base - a case like this adds more fuel to the discussion.
