This is a very cool little Ford 67 Fairlane 500
Sedan. It has been in our family for 21 years. We purchased the car in 1993 out
of an estate sale near Dodge City, KS where it had been parked in a garage for
12 years. Yes, it can snow in Kansas too.
The car has only seen the late spring, summer, and
early fall sun since we have owned it and always garaged or stored inside. I put her up on
jack stands 15 years ago thinking my son would want her at some point. Well,
there I go thinking again... Last year it was moved to a new location and was garaged. I changed the oil and with some minor brake bleeding and
fresh fuel it fired right up and drove around the block.
To date since last summer the gas tank has been flushed. New Master
Brake Cylinder and new Rear Wheel Cylinders and New Battery have been installed.
New in the box front wheel cylinders, new in the box distributer cap go with the car. All OEM type parts.
The car has had one repaint about 20 years ago, now
some rust is showing in the left rear quarter in front of the tire, and the right
front behind the tire. The driver’s side floors seem pretty solid. The
passenger side front floor is rusted out at the firewall, but from there back is
pretty solid. Absolutely
nothing serious. The shock towers, trunk drop offs,
trunk pan, rocker panels, frame rails, rear quarter wheel lips , and all other
vital areas seem very solid and intact. The paint is dead, faded with chips, peeling, and old faded finish. Panels have some nicks, dings, scrapes, and dents.
The windshield has a clip, rest of the glass is
good. The interior is excellent and complete. The dealer installed seat covers have been removed from the front, and the still remain on rear seat. AM Radio works. Extra rims and tires are in the Trunk.
The car shifts great and the engine runs very well.
Clean Title.
Kindly do not bid unless you intend to complete your obligation as this is a binding contract as intended by eBay. Immediate non-refundable $500.00
deposit due via Paypal at end of auction (burned with a no show last fall, cost
me money, storage, and time). Balance due in cash when car is picked up. Car
is located in zip code 61523, about 15 miles north of Peoria, IL.
Good luck Bidding and Thank you for looking!

Ford idling Michigan Assembly Plant to trim Focus, C-Max supply
Tue, 22 Oct 2013Ford will be putting the brakes on production at its Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI, idling production during the weeks of October 28 and December 16. Ford is citing the first drop in US sales in 27 months, a 4.2-percent dip in September, as the impetus for trimming their supplies, according to Automotive News.
Ford's deft management of its supplies has been part of its success over the years, and seeing supplies of Focus and C-Max, the two vehicles built at MAP, rise from 58 and 108 days, respectively, to 71 and 122 days over the span of a month was apparently all that was need to justify the trimming. As AN points out, the rule of thumb for many automakers is to maintain a 60-day supply of vehicles.
"Ford has been focused on keeping their pricing in check. Their operating margin is in double digits. Nobody else is there and they're obviously very proud of that," Alan Baum, an auto analyst with Baum & Associates told AN. Keeping the supply chain operating smoothly and not increasing supplies too much is crucial to that healthy profit margin. After all, a large supply lowers prices ,which, in turn, cuts profit. So while this news might not be great for employees at MAP, who now have an extra two weeks of vacation time, it's far from a sign of problems in Dearborn. Quite the opposite, actually.
Ford readying Ranger-based Everest SUV?
Fri, 21 Feb 2014Way back in August, we showed you a Ford concept for the Australian market called the Everest. Now, we can show you that work on the new Ranger-based SUV is well under way.
At this stage, it's still quite clearly a mule (note the misalignment of the front and rear doors), wearing the Ranger's front end and the rump of Ford's overseas Territory crossover. The wheelbase is shorter than a Ranger, according to our spy photographers, which strikes us as somewhat odd for a more passenger-oriented vehicle. Disc brakes should be fitted at all four corners, while the new SUV, which will almost certainly wear the Everest name, should sport a new rear suspension.
In terms of looks, we're expecting the Everest Concept to inform the appearance of the production model. Naturally, there will also be some interior tweaks, particularly around the dashboard, which is covered in these photos.
3dCarbon now offering body kit for Ford Fusion
Tue, 01 Oct 2013A factory-backed body kit by 3dCarbon is now available to Ford Fusion owners who want their car to stand out from the crowd while not being too flashy. The body kit adds a more aggressive front spoiler, side skirts, rear body trim and spoiler that are, in fact, integrated quite nicely into the Fusion's already-comely styling, just as 3dCarbon claims. All Fusions with the kit also receive dual exhaust ports with the stainless-steel exhaust surrounds usually reserved for the Titanium package Fusion EcoBoost models.
A nice detail of 3dCarbon's injection-molded urethane body kit is that it has undergone crash testing to certify that it can withstand crashes up to five miles per hour. Because of this, the kit is warrantied by 3dCarbon for five years or 50,000 miles, much like Ford's warranty on its own parts. In fact, the kit is available through participating Ford dealers and can be financed through Ford Motor Credit. Buyers can purchase the kit - pre-painted or unpainted - and install it themselves, or it can be purchased with a new Ford Fusion and installed at the dealer, pre-painted to factory specifications. Of course, it can also be ordered directly from the source. Take a look at the press release below for more detailed information on the body kit, and let us know what you think of it in Comments.
