I have for sale my 66 fairlane 500 2 door hardtop. This car is a project car. Ive got a ton of parts and a parts car that's included in it to make it into a rolling chassis. The fairlane is just a chassis and body right now. It has very minimal rust as you can see in the pics. Tourque boxes and frame pieces all solid. The Only areas of rust is in the passenger side lower quarter, and the drivers side door. The parts car has the rear end and front suspension for it. Parts car is a 66 Comet capri which was a low mileage car. Some of the extra parts that are included are A good nice solid and straight hood and deck lid, an extra rear bumper, a front bumper, extra exterior trim pieces, fomoco radiator fomoco a/c condenser and the a/c controls and all that are on the comet theres two sets of fenders to make into 1 good pair to put on the car as well. The comet is a factory a/c factory ps car as well. so it can all be put over on to the fairlane. and that was my plans. The only thing I dont have for the car is a radiator support. ive also go an extra factory windshield, and back glass both in good shape no cracks or anything in them that go with it. ill even throw in a 60s ford big block FE motor and auto transmission on the deal with both cars.mercury gold big block with an fmx transmission attached to it. It is all complete except for distributor and carb. It will need to be gone through. The casting numbers on the heads are c1ae. Casting number Intake number c2ae9425c. The engine casting number is c1ae6015g If you have any questions feel free to contact me at 620-521-1447. Thanks Nate. We have a back hoe so we can load the fairlane body no problem and don't have a problem helping with loading. THE BUYER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SHIPPING. The comet has a clean and clear title. The fairlane will go with a bill of sale only. Id love to build this car I think they are awesome cars just have to many projects going on at this time and would like to see someone finish this one that's got the time. Thanks Nate

Ford recalling nearly 24,000 Focus EV and C-Max models over door chime
Fri, 04 Oct 2013Ford will be voluntarily recalling 23,830 Focus Electric and C-Max Hybrid and Energi models equipped with push-button ignition, according to The Detroit News. Why? Because the cars don't make a noise when the driver's door is open, and are therefore in violation of federal regulations. It's not as silly as Honda's badging recall that isn't a recall, but it's close.
Actually, that's not exactly fair. The chime is supposed to come on when the driver's door is open, as it reminds drivers not to leave their cars on or leave key fobs in the car, an easy thing to forget when the cars in question make virtually no noise at idle and do not require keys in ignitions.
The recall, which Ford is conducting voluntarily, covers 2012 and 2013 Focus Electric hatchbacks and 2013 C-Max Hybrid and Energi models. The overwhelming majority, around 22,900 units, were sold in the US, while the remaining 900 units are in Canada. How many of each model are covered in the recall is not immediately clear.
Muscle wins big at 2013 Amelia Island Concours as 1936 Duesenberg, 1968 Ford GT40 take top honors
Wed, 13 Mar 2013The 18th-annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance took place this past weekend, and in one of the show's biggest years yet (bringing in more than 25,000 spectators and attracting more than 300 vehicles), two powerhouses ended up winning the judges' hearts. The top Concours d'Elegance award went to a 1936 Duesenberg SJN, while the Concours de Sport went to one of the celebrated marques, a 1968 Ford GT40.
Owned by Helen and Jack Nethercutt of Sylmar, CA, this flawless Duesy is described as "one of the most powerful open cars of the 1930s," and it displays design cues of the era like rolled fenders and a tapered rear end. The SJN's supercharged straight-eight allowed it to accelerate to 100 miles per hour in just 17 seconds - surely not a disappointing feat for its day.
On a much different level of performance and timelessness, this Gulf-livery GT40 from the Rocky Mountain Auto Collection is not outdone by the elegance of the big Duesenberg thanks to some well-documented racing history. This not only includes winning at LeMans in both 1968 and 1969 - Chassis No. 1075 also managed to win a total of six times in just 11 races.
Ford Fiesta ST GRC Racecar is hungry for podiums in 2013
Thu, 07 Feb 2013As we reported earlier, the Chicago showing of this plucky Ford Fiesta ST GRC racer points to bigger and brighter days for Global RallyCross. For the upcoming season, you can expect to see Ken Block and Tanner Foust both driving the Ford racecar, and if last season's results are any indication, you can anticipate quite a few podium appearances, as well.
The Fiesta seen here was built by the Swedes at OlsbergsMSE, and will be driven in anger by Foust in 2013. Modifications are, as you'd expect, extensive, and include an engine, exhaust and braking upgrades, a racing style short-throw shifter and a limited-slip differential. As you can see, the car has been fully stripped out and caged for maximum speed and safety, too.
Refresh your memories with the details of the car, in the press releases below. And if you head out to the Chicago Auto Show this year, don't forget to drop by the Ford stand to have a look.
