I have a 1966 Fairlane 2 dr, post I d like to sell.It is just a fairlane not a fairlane 500.It is powered by a 200 c.i. 6 cylinder with a cruisomatic transmission. The engine runs really well with no know issues the transmission works really well and the brakes work well. The car has 78237 actual miles as  proven by the inspection receipts.I have them all except 66-74-77 the 67 doesn t have a place for the mileage but the 68 has 10908 miles on it and the 84 has 75654 miles on it this is the last time it was inspected and it is still on the windshield it says it expires in 12/85.The car was bought at Friendly Ford in Greensboro N.C. Nov.5, 1966 as stated in the owners manual by a lady whose name is typed inside the owners manuel. She drove it until 1985 and parked it in her garage for reasons I don t know  where it had always been parked until I bought it from her niece. It is in pretty good shape it has some surface rust on it where the roof leaked on it no pit or holes. There is some rust behind the rear wheels. All this car needs is painting and the cloth part of the front seat is torn the vinyl is good..The dash pad is cracked the headliner has 2 small holes the door panels are near perfect as are the back seat and the floor mat.All the glasses are good. You could drive this car as is or restore it or put a monster motor in it.I have the owners manuel, a manuel for good drivers and  the owner card all the inspection receipts and some receipts from midas muffler and sears and a few others for inspections and other stuff that goes with the car.The trunk has the jack a spare tire and the stuff to hold them down. The trunk floor is good as is the floor pan with no rust issues. The car is in Denton ,N.C. which is in central N.C. and I have a good title.I ve talked enough about it but I may have forgotten something so please look at the pictures and ask questions. Thanks for looking AL

Ford Escort testing, may be bound for Europe

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

There has been little news about Ford's China-focused Escort concept since debuting at last year's Shanghai Motor Show, but the no-frills sedan has shown its camouflaged face again during cold weather testing in Northern Sweden. While far from a guarantee, the test location might hint that the Blue Oval plans to market the car outside of Asia.
The Escort's black robe and zebra paint make it hard to tell if anything specific has changed about the design, but the shape of the sedan looks close to what was shown in Shanghai. Under the disguise, you can still make out the hexagonal front grille from the concept. When Ford announced the model, the company said that the design wasn't supposed to be "arrogant or pretentious," and it certainly achieved that. The engine range is still a mystery, but it seems safe to expect small, economy-focused powertrains.
A report from last year indicated that Ford may be considering broadening the new Escort beyond Asia and possibly even selling it in Europe. The fact that the company brought it to Sweden for testing could bolster that argument. A release date hasn't been set yet, but the automaker has promised 15 new products for China by 2015. The basic sedan could be on the road soon.

Mysterious small Ford spied in Germany

Sat, 29 Jun 2013

Our spy photographers have just popped off a few shots of something curious. This little runabout was spotted in Germany out testing with a current-generation Ford Fiesta. We're fairly confident the machine is a Ford, but exactly which Ford model is up for debate. The hatchback could be the next-generation Ka, but we've also heard that the Blue Oval supermini might not get a replacement. Our shooter says the five-door is a bit smaller than the current Fiesta, though there is a chance that this rig is just an engineering mule for drivetrain development. Then again, it could be a model built specifically for the South African market or China, or not a Ford at all.
Whatever it is and wherever it's headed, you can check out in the gallery for a closer look before heading into Comments to weigh in with your best guess.

Ford pits The Stig against Gran Turismo 6 in Focus ST Goodwood run

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the world great automotive gatherings. So, it was the perfect event for Ford to give the refreshed 2015 Focus ST its world debut in front of a loving public. It even surprised us with a new diesel-powered version, as well.
The Blue Oval really put its focus on making the ST a better driver for this refresh. It left its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder alone to still pump out a respectable 252 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The changes like a retuned front suspension, electric power steering and improved interior made the hot hatch an even better place to spend time behind the wheel.
To prove that the Focus ST is still as potent as ever, Ford set up a one-on-one race up the Goodwood Hill. But instead of putting the two cars side-by-side, former Stig from Top Gear UK, Ben Collins, piloted the real model up the course, and his rival drove the virtual version in Gran Turismo 6. The two hot hatches set off at the same time to see whether reality could beat the virtual world, and the finish was actually extremely close. Scroll down to watch the video and find out the winner of this battle at Goodwood.
