I bought this car 15 years ago from the original North Carolina owner as a parts car only.  It appears to be 90 to 99%  complete but would need to be completely restored.  The engine is missing the dip-stick and possibly some other parts.  I don't believe that there are any rust-through areas but there is a lot of surface rust.  There is no major body damage to any of the panels.  The glass is in good shape.  The interior would need to be completely redone.

This car is not driveable.  If you buy this car you should be prepared to trailer it home.

The odometer shows 7,000 miles so it has at least 107,000 miles on it.

It's a 4-door Fairlane 500 with a 260 c.i. inch V-8 engine and automatic transmission.

This is a mostly complete car that needs to be completely restored.  The running condition is not guaranteed.  I don't know anything about the condition of the suspension and drivetrain.  The car is being sold as-is.  See the pictures for details and email me for my phone number if you would like to talk about the car.  I have additional pictures and can email them if you contact me.

I am also selling a 221 c.i. V-8 63 Fairlane 2-door and a 200 c.i. 6-cyl. 63 Fairlane 4-door.  See the last picture and my other ebay ads for details on these cars.

I will need a deposit via paypal within 2 days of auction end and will only accept cash when you pick up the car.

The car is for sale locally and the auction may be withdrawn if the car sells locally before auction end.

Ford Fiesta ST GRC Racecar is hungry for podiums in 2013

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

As we reported earlier, the Chicago showing of this plucky Ford Fiesta ST GRC racer points to bigger and brighter days for Global RallyCross. For the upcoming season, you can expect to see Ken Block and Tanner Foust both driving the Ford racecar, and if last season's results are any indication, you can anticipate quite a few podium appearances, as well.
The Fiesta seen here was built by the Swedes at OlsbergsMSE, and will be driven in anger by Foust in 2013. Modifications are, as you'd expect, extensive, and include an engine, exhaust and braking upgrades, a racing style short-throw shifter and a limited-slip differential. As you can see, the car has been fully stripped out and caged for maximum speed and safety, too.
Refresh your memories with the details of the car, in the press releases below. And if you head out to the Chicago Auto Show this year, don't forget to drop by the Ford stand to have a look.

Leno talks racing with NASCAR racer Joey Logano

Wed, 02 Jul 2014

Jay Leno has to be under significant pressure knowing the appetite his fans have for a new Jay Leno's Garage video every week. This time, Jay takes a break from his usual format (something he's been doing with some frequency as of late) and goes back to his roots as a talk show host. There's no classic in the garage his episode with an interesting story to tell and a sumptuous exhaust note. Instead, the focus is purely on interviewing 23-year-old NASCAR racer Joey Logano about what it's like to be a racecar driver in his Ford Fusion.
Logano started racing at the tender age of six and has risen up the circle-track ranks to the big show of the NASCAR Sprint Cup. The two of them talk about what it's like to compete in the sport today compared to yesteryear, and Logano shares some racing anecdotes. Of course, they also get into what it's like to be on the racetrack controlling a car with about 850 horsepower, a four-speed manual transmission and brakes without any power boost. Scroll down to watch the video.

2015 Ford Mustang GT [w/video]

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

At 50 years old, the object of fantasies, a tuner's dream, a movie star and more than nine million strong, it couldn't be truer to say that the Ford Mustang needs no introduction. This newest Mustang, however - making the biggest changes we've seen to the pony car since perhaps 1964.5 - is something Ford has been introducing all year.
We went on a Deep Dive, covered the way it looks when it was revealed, detailed the engine specs, got a ride in the EcoBoost and listened to the V8, got rolling footage and watched it do a standard-feature burnout.
The only thing left to do? Drive it. Having now done so for a few hours around Los Angeles, what we can tell you is to forget everything you know about the Mustang. This new car shames the old, redefines the model and gallops far ahead of anything else in the segment.
