1957 Ford Fairlane 500. No Reserve.......!!!! on 2040-cars
Bayside, New York, United States
NO RESERVE..BID TO WIN!!!!! In this listing we have a nice clean 1957 Ford Fairlane 500. It has over $5,000 in new parts and upgrades. I have all the receipts. It has it's original 292 motor. It runs great. The upgrades are as follows and are all new, outside door handles, mirrors, fuel sending unit, temp sending unit, all 4 wheel cylinders, all new brake lines, new master cylinder, all new seat belts installed front and back. The transmission was just rebuilt and has a little under a 1,000 miles on it. I have all the paperwork for the Trans work. It has 4 brand new tires just installed a few weeks ago. The body is in good shape. It has minimal rust. It has a few bubbles that are coming up but no rot through anywhere. It was painted a long time ago. Still looks good and shines nice. It has a nice driver paint job on it. Has a few dings here and there but no major damage. The chassis is in good shape. No rust, no rot.. The floors all look good. It was under coated years ago and protected pretty well. The trunk area also looks good. The interior is all brand new last year. Everything was replaced. New carpet, new panels, new headliner, new everything inside. All of the interior was a custom job. It looks awesome. It has a nice touch with the custom yellow pipping. As for all the mechanical stuff. The gas gauge, temp gauge, speedo, oil gauge etc... All work great. The headlights work, parking lights and blinkers work. The horn works. The wipers work. The interior lights work. The heat works. There is an new aftermarket radio installed with new speakers. It all works and sounds great. It has a cd player/mp3 player. The brakes on the car are in good shape. The car stops the way it should. The suspension is all in great shape. It drives down the road very nicely. There is no unusual noises at anytime while driving. This is a perfect get in and go cruising car. You don't need to do anything to get in and go. It's not a 100 point show car. Otherwise I would be asking $30k+ It's a nice clean, good running car. Enjoy cruising as soon as the check clears... |

Evo grabs Ford's Fiesta R5 rally car by the scruff
Wed, 04 Sep 2013Evo and host Henry Catchpole were thinking of excuses reasons to borrow the bonkers Ford Fiesta R5 rally car for a day or two, when it struck them: the car is street legal. With access to the R5, some of the world's most beautiful driving roads in the English Lake Country nearby, and a handy video crewing hanging around, the plan seemed to write itself.
Based on the resulting video, it was a good plan. Without spoiling the video for you - something we can't really do in text as the best part is listening to the rally car run - Catchpole finds the Fiesta to be sublimely quick and massively satisfying. Even taking the car for a spin on a pseudo rally stage, after leaving the English countryside, does nothing but add to his assessment of the beastly little Ford. Scroll on below to see for yourself, and enjoy the ride.
Ford Mustang GT500 successor spied near SVT
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Details about the next-gen Ford Mustang are scarce, and there's even less information out there about the upcoming replacement for the Shelby GT500. Previously rumored to drop the Shelby name and wear the GT350 moniker, the highest-performance Mustang has just been spotted testing near Ford's SVT operations.
Despite being cloaked in heavy camouflage, we can instantly tell this prototype is different from other Mustang spy shots we've seen in the past. Aside from the Shelby-spec wheels, quad exhaust outlets (previous spy shots show only two) and beefier brakes, this car also has air intakes on the hood and front fenders. These elements help to neither prove nor dismiss rumors that the next SVT Mustang will be naturally aspirated. It also looks like Ford is may be planning some changes to this car's rear suspension, as there is some extra camouflage added beneath the rear end of this prototype.
As a bonus, these spy shots also give us our first look inside the new Mustang, revealing a new steering wheel (with more buttons) and a glimpse of the dual-pod instrument gauges. Check out past spy shots of the 2015 Mustang showing off its new face and driving around town.
Ford to reveal Vignale sub-brand with special Mondeo in Frankfurt
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Ford says that 10-15 percent of its customers in Europe want their cars to be set apart from regular Fords - even those wearing the top Titanium X trim - and the Blue Oval will answer them with the Vignale sub-brand. The new brand proposes a more upscale look and a much-improved dealership experience, Autocar reports. The Vignale Mondeo will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show to kick off the new endeavor.
The first Ford to receive the Vignale treatment will be the 2015 Mondeo, a Euro-only model, followed by the new S-Max and Edge. The Vignale Mondeo is set apart visually from other Mondeos by a chrome grille and chrome door handles and mirror caps. Mondeo badging will be deleted - only Vignale badging will make an appearance.
The interior will get a more upscale flavor, as well, with quilted leather seats and door trim and leather covering the instrument panel, center console and steering wheel. A Vignale-badged storage drawer will be installed in the trunk, and in-car Wi-Fi is available.
