1955 Ford Fairlane Victoria 2 door hardtop classic vintage original unrestored !!!

Here is one of those "Garage finds" that you always hear about.  Well this classic was last licensed in 1975  - then put in storage till now !   Car has seen one (1) repaint around 1970.  Was done in code correct yellow color.   Very basic repaint no doubt using enamel.  Body prep was also basic with no effort to remove any dents or rust.  Do not expect show paint - just so you know.  Rust is present.  You eventually would probably replace lower quarters and rockers.  Front fenders need repair also.  Body mounts are 95 %+.  Trunk has very minimal rust.  Doors are dry.

All window operate. TINTED GLASS ALL AROUND !!! No broken or cracked glass. Windshield and rear glass rubbers are in remarkable condition.

I did not try to start engine. All other mechanical elements will need attention to make road worthy.  I have removed rotted gas tank for you.   Interior is very nice.  Dash is near perfect.  All gauges are clean and clear.  Glove box liner is perfect. Front door panels are very presentable. Rear panels are near perfect.  Headliner in near perfect and clean.

Only item not on car is the generator and it has gone missing prior to my ownership.

Aftermarket rear wheels shown in photos are NOT a part of the auction.  They just represent another idea for the Power Tour crowd out there.  They are 20 x 10 and fit nicely under wheel wells.

I have clear title in my name.  Car will make some one a very nice cruiser at any level of desired restoration.  Good Luck in the auction.   Feel free to ask question.        See my Feedback.          Thanks for looking !                1965vettes

Ford cleans up painting process with cameras

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

Knowing how the bacon gets made rarely entices us and, in the same vein, the same usually goes for knowing about how new cars get painted. But in both instances, however, quality - or a lack thereof - is instantly obvious. In terms of the latter, Ford is showing off its new paint quality process with 3D Dirt Detection Technology to find imperfections in vehicle paint more easily and more quickly.
This process - being performed on the F-150 SVT Raptor above - uses 16 computer-controlled cameras to create a three-dimensional model (inset) of the vehicle to detect flaws in the paint including dirt particles, which can then be buffed out manually. Ford says this new technology cuts down on time spent looking for paint flaws and gives workers more time to correct those that are discovered.
Currently, Ford only uses its 3D Dirt Detection Technology system at three factories (the Dearborn, MI facility, along with those in Louisville, Kentucky and Valencia, Spain), but it will soon spread to five more plants in North America. Ford has released a video and press release for this innovative and unexpectedly interesting process, both of which are posted below.

Find out if the Ford Fiesta ST can match Europe's latest hot hatches

Tue, 11 Feb 2014

The V8 grunt of the Mustang has defined Ford performance cars in the US for the last 50 years, but in Europe, the Blue Oval has nearly as a long history of building some of the best hot hatches on the market with the Fiesta, Escort and later the Focus. The latest Fiesta ST has just hit the roads on both sides of the pond and has been enthusiastically received thanks to its combination of a peppy, turbocharged engine and hatchback utility.
However, Europe is getting a bumper crop of hot hatches at the moment, including the forthcoming, third-generation Mini Cooper S. Should Ford have waited to launch the ST until it knew how the competition performed? That's the answer that Xcar is after in its latest video, and it took the Fiesta to the track and some very misty, Welsh roads to find out. Scroll down to find out whether the ST stacks up.

Evo grabs Ford's Fiesta R5 rally car by the scruff

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

Evo and host Henry Catchpole were thinking of excuses reasons to borrow the bonkers Ford Fiesta R5 rally car for a day or two, when it struck them: the car is street legal. With access to the R5, some of the world's most beautiful driving roads in the English Lake Country nearby, and a handy video crewing hanging around, the plan seemed to write itself.
Based on the resulting video, it was a good plan. Without spoiling the video for you - something we can't really do in text as the best part is listening to the rally car run - Catchpole finds the Fiesta to be sublimely quick and massively satisfying. Even taking the car for a spin on a pseudo rally stage, after leaving the English countryside, does nothing but add to his assessment of the beastly little Ford. Scroll on below to see for yourself, and enjoy the ride.
