I am selling my 1999 Ford F350 XLT 4X4. This truck runs real great for the mileage it has, i used it for towing a 40' gooseneck trailer. To start it off it has a 2" level lift on the front end, Firestone airbags on the rearend, tires are more than half tread they are Goodyear 235/80/16. It has a manual transmission 6 speed, clutch is in great condition. There are a set of 6" stainless steel stacks in the bed, 2 programmer chips ( a TS 6 position- and a Edge Juice with Attitude has onboard screen with EGT,BOOST,RPM Gauge ). Has a single A-Pillar gauge with Boost. I have replaced alot of new parts since Dec 2012, such as NEW Batteries, Alternator,Surpentine Belt,Brakes,Calipers,Rotors all around, Front to Back,Tierods,Ball joints both sides, upper and lower. New 140 HP INJECTORS and HPOP about 2 YRS ago. Brand new Bellowed up pipes still in box ( $300 ), exhaust leaks from manifold pipes a little.New ECM replaced last year. Just replaced oil and filters. The body has some blemishes, it is a truck, used for work. The reese hitch in the bed does not go with the sale of the truck, the hitch bars stay with the truck. Thanks for looking. This is an as is sale. A $500.00 deposit is due at end of auction, the remainder due within 7 days by end of auction, paypal or pay at time of pickup. Email me and we can discuss arrangements. Ford C-Max spied with fresh updates
Fri, 05 Sep 2014The Ford C-Max hatchback looks to be getting a few cosmetic updates, as evidenced in this latest set of spy photos. Like the smaller Focus, which also received a nip/tuck for the 2015 model year, the C-Max appears to be getting a revised front fascia with slimmer headlamps and a more, shall we say, Aston Martin-like grille. Around back, there looks to be a new bumper with redesigned taillamps, as well.
In other markets, the C-Max people-mover is available with a range of powertrains, but here in the US, it exists either as a traditional gas-electric or plug-in hybrid. The C-Max's fuel economy has been a particular topic of interest lately, with its official fuel economy ratings having been lowered twice since the vehicle's launch. Sales initially suffered a bit following this fiasco, though numbers have since leveled out. It's unclear if Ford is working on any powertrain tweaks for the updated C-Max seen here, however.
Ford has likely spruced up the hatch's interior, as well, though we don't have photos of that at this time. Mum's the word on when we'll see the new C-Max, but our best guess is that it'll arrive sometime in the next year.
Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers
Thu, 12 Jun 2014For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.
Ford demonstrates Mustang's new Line Lock burnout feature
Tue, 22 Apr 2014Been saving your pennies for a 2015 Ford Mustang? Put in a few extra shifts or some overtime? Got a great down payment ready? Well, however much you saved for your new pony car, start saving more - you'll need the extra money to spend on tires.
That's because the Mustang will come with a system called Line Lock, which can lock the front brakes electronically, allowing drivers to perform big, dumb, smoky burnouts without moving so much as an inch. It's sort of like launch control, only the average driver might actually use it.
Now, line locks aren't uncommon, particularly in drag racing. Usually, a flip of the switch locks the front brakes. The Mustang, besides offering the system from the factory which is unique in and of itself, looks a bit more involved.
