Hello diesel family and friends, my name is Tom my wife and I have been licensed PA new and used Truck dealers since the late 70's and have been involved in diesel trucks as our speciality. We have recently downsized to a small mom and pop operation here in carlisle PA (E-Motors) to sell 2 or 3 trucks a month, we are small and I do this more for a hobby than anything else.(low overhead low prices) I know these old Powerstroke diesel trucks inside and out and I personally drive one and love these trucks emmensley. What I hate the older ones here in the northeast since they just melt away from all the rust and bondo they are loaded up with so I fly out west to Southern California, and other west coast and southern states to buy a few clean rustfree 1 owners and drive them home to sell in the northeast to folks who have never seen a no rust old powerstrokes. Trust me they are not cheep, but worth the extra if you can swing it. A few things to know before bidding or becomming interested in one of my trucks, I do not play games with the price, I do my homework price for fast cash sales on the buy it now that is what I need, however serious cash buyers are encouraged to bring cash offers I do not take trades on my diesels , but I also do airport pickup at Harrisburg International, I am a bonded tag agent and issue temp tags/title transfer on the spot at my office, I also do long or short deliverys and have on call hours 7 days a week from 9-9 east time. 717 991 0568 I reserve the right to close down ebay for any cash buyer with deposit online on phone or on lot, I deal first come first served with deposit, My promise is to deal on a "do unto others as I'd want done to me" basis. I will represent all vehicles professionally, and deal up front and honestly, treat all customers or callers with the utmost respect and courtesy, using my abilitys, experence and talents to help all buyers get the best truck and deal possible wheather its from me of another seller, rule number 1 is to be a blessing and the blessings to me will follow eventually, my only request is you deal with me in a similar fashion, thanks folks looking fordward to meeting you...Tom 717 991 0568 I flew down to Georgia and bought this black beauty from a Ford dealer down there who traded it in from a CAT diesel mechanic (origional owner), and if you;ve been looking for one of these square body F series 7.3 this is a well maintained rust free sharp truck for sale, these are getting harder and harder to find so dont miss it not sure when another will ever come around.. She's a 97 Ford F250 XLT 4x4 Reg cab, automatic 7.3 powerstroke diesel. Great body its all origional paint no body work, no rust or putty, frame is awesome, good clean brake lines, oil pan, door bottoms ect. Paint has a nice gloss yet, no major cosmetics, interior also decent, no rips, tears, stains or smells. Factory XLT package all power, and all working. Mechanically the best. The 7.3 fires right up, even ice cold! Has great flowing injectors and fuel pump pressure, good hot batteries and glow plugs. No blow by no leaks, the tranny was a factory drop in at 160K still shifting excellant, 4x4 working. Good ball joints, ty rods, at 75 she will track straight down the road even with the iffey 285x75x16 BFG all terrains on, fronts need replaced, backs are a little less than 50%. Few other things to know, lets all keep in mind folks she is a 16 year old pickup truck in its origional state never repainted so she does have some wear and tear outside and inside, like stone nicks, small scraches, parking lot dinggers, hood out of alignment, and inside seat & door panel wear from getting in and out over the years and the automatic shift handle wear its a little loose but works fine, nothing I'd do or needed just thought its a good idea to know. Truck was well maintained by owner who worked for CAT diesel as a servace tech, you can tell the difference, ready for PA state insp sticker included to PA buyer nice clean car fax please click on vin history check above. I deal first come first served with deposit is only was for me to hold truck..thanks for looking Tom 717 991 0568

Subprime financing on the rise in new car sales, leasing too
Fri, 07 Dec 2012We all remember the financial crisis that began several years back. At its core was a splurge of subprime lending for housing loans. The housing bubble burst, triggering a collapse of the mortgage-backed securities market. Apparently, those types of loans still exist in the automotive industry, and the market share for these types of "nonprime, subprime, and deep subprime," loans has grown 13.6 percent compared to the third quarter a year ago.
According to an Automotive News report, high-risk lending expanded to 24.8 percent of total loans in Q3, up from 21.9 percent for this time last year. As this level increased, average credit scores of borrowers dropped to 755, down from 763 a year ago. In that time, the average financing amount increased $90 per vehicle, to $25,963.
At 818, Volvo maintains the highest per-owner credit score, while Mitsubishi has the lowest, at 694. The highest rate of borrowers was at Toyota, with 14 percent of the market, followed by Ford with 13.1 percent and Chevrolet at 11.1.
Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.
Ford's Mulally now said to be in lead for Microsoft CEO job
Sun, 29 Sep 2013There have been rumors that Ford CEO Alan Mulally could assume the top job over at Microsoft, whose CEO, Steve Ballmer, will retire within the year. Mulally hasn't come out and said that he's considering moving to Microsoft after (or before) his contract with Ford through 2014 ends, but sources in the know say he's the front-runner to become the tech giant's CEO and has opened up to the idea more in recent weeks, AllThingsD reports.
Mulally is no stranger to Washington, where Microsoft is located, having worked in the state for Seattle-based Boeing Commercial Airplanes as CEO years ago. He also recently was an adviser to Ballmer in an effort to realign the company's management structure to help it become more competitive in a fast-changing computer hardware and software market. And when Ford developed its Sync digital interface, it tapped Microsoft to provide the operating system, Microsoft Auto. Perhaps the least crucial connection - but nonetheless an important one - is that Mulally still owns a house in the Seattle area, and it's been said he wants to return there, according to AllThingsD.
A main challenge Microsoft's next CEO will face is how to manage the company's numerous, fractured operations and, eventually, streamline them. But even on this front, Mulally has experience; after all, it was he who ushered in an era of global Ford vehicles, after the automaker had become complacent developing and selling vehicles by region leading up to the economic recession of 2008-2009.
