Selling my 2008 f250 with a 6.4 powerstroke diesel. It's a sweet truck with only 103,000 miles on it. It has 4x4 with locking hubs. Truck has no rust at all on it. I'm the second owner and brought it up here from Phoenix Arizona. It's unique and gets a lot of looks and compliments.

The truck has a custom made bumper from a company in Texas called south texas outfitters. It's the best bumper money can buy. It's not a light duty bumper! Also has the ranch hand rear bumper with integrated reverse lights. Has beautiful black leather interior with power front seats in great shape. Drop in bed liner. 2014 style tailgate. Has 17" XD rims on it and 285 all terrain tires. These tires and rims have less then 4,000 miles on them. I also have a stock set of 17" rims with 265 bfg mud terrains for winter rims/tires. The mud terrains are basically new. Just had an oil change and alignment done within the last 200 miles. Truck also has top of the line "heads-up" brake controller with digital readout mounted by the gauges.

The truck is listed for under blue book and has thousands of extra in parts. Looks awesome and rides awesome. The body isn't perfect, but overall it's in great shape. Has a few little rock chips along the bottom of the driver and passenger door from the big tires, and there's a very small dent in the passenger rear door, but nothing you would notice from 5' away.

Please email me with any questions. If you are serious and want to see the truck we can meet up at most any time. Truck is also for sale locally so auction could end early.

On Oct-15-13 at 09:32:07 PDT, seller added the following information:

The tires are Tread-Wright 285 17 tires. The truck has the factory original Radio in it, but does not include a CD player. Only have 1 key for the truck.

Rowan Atkinson crashes at Goodwood Revival

Sun, 14 Sep 2014

To quote Harry Hogge (played by Robert Duvall) in Days of Thunder, "rubbin, son, is racin'." That can mean some unfortunate damage to high-end racing machinery, which may be repaired easily enough in stock car racing, but when it comes to vintage racing, the stakes can be that much higher. And yet incidents do occur, like at this weekend's Goodwood Revival.
Among the many competitors taking part in the retro racing event in England was none other than Rowan Atkinson, the actor perhaps best known for playing Mr. Bean. Driving a classic Ford Falcon Sprint in the Shelby Cup event, Atkinson (pictured above at the 2012 revival) reportedly crashed head-on into another car on track.
According to reports, the two cars up spun out. The driver in between managed to avoid a pile-up, but Atkinson couldn't steer clear and hit the obstructing vehicle. Fortunately Rowan walked away unscathed (and, we imagine, in a humorous manner), but while we don't know how extensive the damage was to the Falcon, it was enough to take it out of the race.

2014 Holman & Moody 50th Anniversary TdF Ford Mustang

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

If you're a fan of Ford racing history, a Mustang worshiper or even just an avid follower of our yearly SEMA coverage, you may have heard the back story on the Race Red Mustang you see above. Back in 1964, Holman & Moody was tapped by the English Alan Mann Racing Team to race-prep three Mustangs for competition in the incredibly arduous 4,000-mile Tour de France Automobile rally. Competing mainly against Jaguar MkII saloons over 10 days and 17 stages, the H&M Mustangs took the top two places in the Touring class and the first-ever racing win for Ford's pony car.
Though the history of that first Mustang win hasn't been incredibly well known here in the States, the subsequent decades have seen plenty of racy versions of the car come and go. Last year at the SEMA show, we covered the brief debut of this living tribute to that piece of racing lore, the Holman & Moody 50th Anniversary TdF Mustang.
This limited-edition Mustang represents a kind of new venture for H&M, as the legendary racing shop has spent the last few decades earning its keep largely by restoring vintage racing cars. The urge to get back into the world of Ford and Mustang was powerful, however, what with the car's 50th anniversary looming and the current generation of 'Stang just about out the door.

What next for Alan Mulally?

Wed, 23 Apr 2014

Alan Mulally has emerged as a hero when it comes to American manufacturing. He came to Ford in 2006 after serving as head of Boeing's commercial aircraft division, streamlined operations, sold off the costly elements of its Premier Automotive Group and saved Ford from having to be bailed out by the federal government like its cross-town rivals Chrysler and General Motors did. But as we reported mere days ago, he's widely expected to step down from the chief executive's office at Ford shortly.
So what's next for one of the most successful executives in the business? Hard to say, but don't expect Mulally to disappear into retirement. Though he didn't ultimately take the top job at Microsoft, industry insiders expect to see him in another influential position - likely as a board director or even chairman of another company. (We say "another company" and not Ford because while Bill Ford may have stepped aside as CEO to bring Mulally on board in the first place, we don't see him giving up his chairmanship of the board also.)
Mulally has likely already lined up his next move, and could either announce what that move will be as soon as Ford confirms Mark Fields as his successor, or could wait awhile. Insiders speculate that he could leverage his transportation and aerospace experience into a position at General Electric or a major airline, his manufacturing expertise to benefit a company like Procter & Gamble or his management skills at a consultancy firm.
