2007 FORD F250 SUPER DUTY 4X4 WITH THE FAVORED 5.4L GAS TRITON ENGINE AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH OVERDRIVE. TRUCK HAS SUSTAINED BODY DAMAGE ON MOST BODY PANELS BUT THE ENGINE STARTS RIGHT UP AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY AS IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLOWED AND HAS SPENT MOST OF ITS LIFE IN TEXAS BEFORE I HAD IT SHIPPED UP A FEW YEARS AGO. I DONT BELIEVE THE FRAME IS COMPROMISED BUT SINCE I AM SELLING THE TRUCK "AS IS", I HAVE NOT HAD IT TESTED. THE DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCIDENT WAS A LIGHT ROLL OFF A WET ROAD INTO A FARMERS FIELD. THE ENGINE STARTS RIGHT UP AND RUNS EXCELLENT AND HAS NEVER BURNED OR LEAKED OIL. THE TRANSFER CASE AND ADJOINING DRIVE TRAIN ALL IN TACT AND WORKS FINE. AGAIN THE BODY PANELS AND SOME OBVIOUS GLASS ARE THE ONLY ISSUES WITH THIS TRUCK. IT WOULD MAKE A GREAT PARTS TRUCK OR A GREAT REBUILD FOR A SHOP OR HANDYMAN. AS THE TRUCK IS NOT ROAD WORTHY YOU MUST PICKUP OR ARRANGE YOUR OWN SHIPPING. I WOULD BE HAPPY TO BE HERE FOR THE LOAD ON THE TRAILER AS THE TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES FINE. AND TO RECAP I PAID CASH FOR THE VEHICLE SO THE TITLE IS IN MY POSSESION AND IT IS CLEAR. IT IS A REGULAR TITLE "NOT" A SALVAGE TITLE MAKING IT MORE ATTRACTIVE FOR THE REBUILDERS OUT THERE. AIRBAGS ARE GOOD AND "HAVE NOT", BEEN DEPLOYED. IF YOU PRICE A 5.4L TRITON OR A TRANSMISSION YOU WILL SEE THAT IT COULD ALSO MAKE A GREAT PARTS TRUCK FOR SOMEBODY WHO HAS A TIRED FORD AND LOOKING TO REPOWER. THE VEHICLE HAS A STANDARD REESE HITCH AND TRAILER BRAKES. AGAIN LOCAL PICKUP ONLY OR ARRANGE YOUR SHIPPER TO PICK IT UP.

Ford Focus 1.0-liter Ecoboost to only get manual trans in US
Sun, 23 Feb 2014Photos of the 2015 Ford Focus leaked earlier today, but now we're able to tell you more details of the global five-door hatchback. Bucking automaker's troubling trend of ditching manual transmissions in favor of automatics, Ford says the new 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine will come only in a six-speed manual in the US, because, well, American drivers aren't as sophisticated as our European brothers and sisters.
Ford didn't come out and say it that way, but it has found American drivers are more prone to complain about automatics in smaller-engine cars, Raj Nair, Ford's group vice president of global product development, said at a press conference last week. The recent JD Power Vehicle Dependability Study backs up Ford's claims, pointing out that drivers are complaining about rough transmission shifts, engine hesitation and lack of power, particularly in small cars. In Europe and other parts of the world, drivers seem to understand the quirks of these pint-sized engines, Nair said, so they'll have the option to buy an automatic. Ford is working on tuning its dual-clutch transmissions to make them more amenable to American driver's tastes.
Ford will show off the refreshed 2015 Focus at the Geneva Motor Show in early March. The car is due for an update, having been on sale in its current form since 2012. The automaker said it is jamming the car full of new technology - like a USB port that promises to charge your phone in half the time as a regular USB port. Features like Sync and a rear back-up camera will come standard. For a more in-depth look at the car, take a look at the full press release.
Enterprise working with renter's insurance to cover $47k Mustang stolen from its lot
Sat, 11 Jan 2014There was more than a bit of public indigence following the recent story of Enterprise Rent-A-Car billing a customer $47,000 to replace a Ford Mustang GT Convertible stolen from a Nova Scotia lot. To recap: Kristen Cockerill rented the Mustang for two days, returned it to the lot on a Sunday and left the keys in a secure dropbox only for Enterprise employees to find the car gone the next day.
Despite Enterprise policies stating that customers are responsible for vehicles dropped on off-days, the company has admitted that the situation could've been handled a bit better.
In a recent statement, Enterprise has backed off the big-bill story, and claims to be working with Cockerill and her insurance company to resolve the issue. Further, the Enterprise general manager overseeing Nova Scotia has spoken with the harried renter, and apologized "for the way this claim was handled during the last few months."
Unrestored 1969 Shelby GT500 one of many classic barn finds going to auction
Wed, 19 Mar 2014We love a good barn find here at Autoblog. We like that there's a palpable excitement and sense of mystery surrounding barn finds. Each case has its own uniqueness to it, and this latest discovery is no different: an unrestored, one-owner 1969 Shelby GT500 with just 8,531 miles on it.
In the case of this particular barn find, many of the typical questions have already been answered. For example, we know who owned it - his name was Larry Brown. He recently passed away, and as he had no wife or children to inherit the estate, the car he purchased at Pennsylvania Ford dealer in May of 1969, will be auctioned off by Ron Gilligan Auctioneers.
The car was fastidiously maintained, having never been driven in the rain. In fact, Brown never even washed it, out of fear of it rusting. According to the auction website, the last time this car saw water was probably when it was detailed ahead of being delivered to Brown. If that doesn't sound like a fanatical sense of maintenance on the part of this GT500's owner, this next part will. The interior has been treated to a similarly painstaking attempt at preservation, with garbage bags covering the seats and two layers of floor mats over the carpets. The result is a car that, aesthetically, is in remarkable shape considering it's spent so long in a barn.
