1999 Ford F250 Super Duty with 218xxxmi, single cab long bed, with Meyer snow plow. Interior is in good condition with RealTree seat covers that have been on since I've owned the truck, so the seats have minimal wear.  One wheel wheel is rotted, but the truck is going in to the shop this weekend 5/24 to be sandblasted and painted all underneath.  Truck was repainted by the previous owner, and body is still in good shape for its age, some scrapes and scratches here and there.  A scrape on the tailgate and dent in the front bumper.  All brakes have been replaced within the last 2k miles.  Truck has a mechanically mint front end.  Last week all ball joints were done, new left inner tie rod (takes the most abuse from drop pitman arm) new hub assemblies were done yesterday along with cleaning and greasing of Warn 4x4 hubs that were replaced 5k ago, and are still in perfect condition.  Front and rear differentials had a complete overhaul/rebuild 5k ago and swapped to 4.11 gears.  New front axle shafts 5k ago. Every fluid has been switched to synthetic: Engine oil, transmission oil, both front and rear diff fluid.

Truck has lots of extras:

2005 Front end Swap
8 inch all-spring lift
Dual steering stabilizer
17 inch Pro Comp aluminum wheels
37x13.50 Toyo Mud Country Tires with under 7k and more than 80% tread
Custom extended front driveshaft-- not a lousy spacer like most lifts
4inch MBRP turbo back exhaust with 8 inch single stack-- I have every for dual 8 inch stacks with mounts still in bed, or a 5 inch side dump
K&N Intake
6 Custom Tunes written from Tony Wildman of Total Diesel Performance-- Only got the chip less than a month ago, it hasn't been chipped for long
Cobra CB with 4 ft. Firestik antenna
Hadley air horn kit
3 gauge pillar set with EGT, Tranny, and Boost
Alpine Interior Amp and Head Unit
Kenwood sub amp-- no sub though
Kenwood 3-way interior speakers

More evidence GT500-replacement will be named GT350

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

During the recent unveiling of the 2015 Ford Mustang, we saw the car in both V6 and GT form, but we'll have to wait a little bit longer to see the successor to the Shelby GT500. In the meantime, though, it looks like SVTPerformance.com has confirmed reports that this high-performance model will bring the Shelby GT350 name back to Ford.
According to the forum post, a user found the Shelby GT350 name on a Ford promo website listing its 2015 lineup. The Shelby GT350 name was first used on a Mustang back in 1965, and most recently it has been a model created for customers as a post-title purchase by Shelby American. As for that car, Shelby confirmed earlier in the year that its GT350 would be phased out at the end of this month.
The million-dollar question for Mustang and Shelby enthusiasts is when we'll see next factory Shelby GT350. Last we heard it was planned for a debut at the New York Auto Show. We've included our previous spy shots of this hi-po, sixth-gen Mustang, and we've also captured it on spy video showing off its exhaust note.

Ford builds Lightweight Concept with Fusion shell [w/video]

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

It's a fairly well known fact that removing weight from a car is essentially a panacea for many of the modern automobiles problems. Does it handle like crap? Remove weight. Underpowered? Don't add power; trim the fat. Need to improve fuel economy? It's diet time.
Actually executing a major weight reduction program, though, much like with human beings, is no easy task. Unlike you or I, where motivation is the issue, the prohibitive measure in trimming a car's waistline is money. Lightweight materials are expensive, with carbon fiber and carbon-fiber reinforced plastic still primarily in the domain of higher end vehicles. Even aluminum construction, pioneered on a mass-produced level by Audi and Jaguar, is only now starting to make its way into the mainstream, thanks to the upcoming Ford F-150.
With this concept, though, Ford is attempting to show that a mass-produced, lightweight vehicle isn't too far off. This is the Lightweight Concept, and while it may look like a Fusion, it weighs as much as a Fiesta. For reference, the lightest Fusion available to the public is the 3,323-pound, 2.5-liter model with a manual transmission. A manually equipped, 1.6-liter Fiesta, meanwhile, is just 2,537 pounds.

Ford C-Max spied with fresh updates

Fri, 05 Sep 2014

The Ford C-Max hatchback looks to be getting a few cosmetic updates, as evidenced in this latest set of spy photos. Like the smaller Focus, which also received a nip/tuck for the 2015 model year, the C-Max appears to be getting a revised front fascia with slimmer headlamps and a more, shall we say, Aston Martin-like grille. Around back, there looks to be a new bumper with redesigned taillamps, as well.
In other markets, the C-Max people-mover is available with a range of powertrains, but here in the US, it exists either as a traditional gas-electric or plug-in hybrid. The C-Max's fuel economy has been a particular topic of interest lately, with its official fuel economy ratings having been lowered twice since the vehicle's launch. Sales initially suffered a bit following this fiasco, though numbers have since leveled out. It's unclear if Ford is working on any powertrain tweaks for the updated C-Max seen here, however.
Ford has likely spruced up the hatch's interior, as well, though we don't have photos of that at this time. Mum's the word on when we'll see the new C-Max, but our best guess is that it'll arrive sometime in the next year.
