I AM THE 3RD OWNER OF THIS RIG. THIS TRUCK IS ALL ORIGINAL WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FOLLOWING.....A LACQUER REPAINT BACK IN THE LATE 70'S. IT IS MISSING 2 HUBCAPS. THE ORIGINAL RIMS WERE CHANGED FROM 16.5 TO 16. THE ORIGINAL GAS CAPS WERE CHANGED FOR LOCKING CAPS. 390-C6, POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. IT HAS IT'S SHARE OF BUMPS  BRUISES SCRATCHES AND DRILL HOLES BUT ON THE PLUS SIDE RUST IS NEARLY NONEXISTENT, NOT EVEN A PIN HOLE ANYWHERE. THE UNDERCARRIAGE WAS RUSTPROOFED EITHER AT THE FACTORY OR FORD DEALER, NOT ONE OF THOSE "COAT OF PRETTY" TO COVER UP EXISTING RUST. I LIFTED THE CARPET AND THERE'S NOT ONE SPEC OF  RUST. CRHOME ON THE RANGER BADGES AND F250 HOOD ORNAMENTS IS EXTREMELY NICE. IT WAS ALWAYS KEPT IN A BUILDING AND WELL CARED FOR. THIS RIG WAS USED PRIMARILY FOR CAMPING DURING ITS LIFE SPAN. I DROVE THE TRUCK 2,000 MILES FROM POST FALLS IDAHO EARLIER THIS YEAR. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS A FLAT TIRE SO I BOUGHT 2 NEW FIRESTONE TIRES. THE FUEL PUMP, COOLANT HOSES, FAN BELTS AND A TUNE UP WAS DONE SHORTLY BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. I REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER, MUFFLER AND REBUILT THE CARBURETOR WHEN I GOT HOME. STARTS WITH NO PROBLEM NO MATTER HOW LONG IT SITS AND RUNS LIKE A CHAMP. NO SMOKE,NO ENGINE NOISES. TRANNY IS SMOOTH AND CRISP. BRAKES, STEERING, SUSPENSION ARE IN TOP NOTCH SHAPE. NO WEIRD NOISES, PULLING, WANDERING OR SHAKING AT ANY SPEED. JUST SMOOTH AND TIGHT. IT'S TRULY A DELIGHT TO DRIVE.ALL GAUGES AND ELECTRICAL WORK AND BOTH GAS TANKS. I PULLED THE A/C BELT BEFORE THE TRIP I'M SURE THE AIR NEEDS TO BE SERVICED. MORE PICS UPON REQUEST. MAKE REASONABLE OFFER AND I'LL END AUCTION EARLY.

Ford's Farley apologizes for saying Blue Oval tracks customers with GPS

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

Ford marketing head honcho Jim Farley made waves at CES this week by telling show attendees, "We know everyone who breaks the law, we know when you're doing it." according to a report by Business Insider. Farley continued by saying, "We have GPS in your car, so we know what you're doing. By the way, we don't supply that data to anyone."
Farley has since amended his statement, saying that Ford dose not, in fact, track its customers in their cars "without their approval or consent."
Apparently carried away with a hypothetical notion, Farley was attempting to describe how Ford might be able to employee aggregated user data for things like accurate traffic reporting and pattern spotting. A Ford spokesperson confirmed with Business Insider that its GPS units are not sharing the whereabouts of drivers, though there are a few on-board services that might do so. After opting in to the services (and presumably being made aware of any/all tracking and data collection), Ford's Sync Services Directions and Crew Chief software do, in fact, allow data collection as a means of improving both systems. Farley added that the opt-in data is not shared, even when being tracked.

Ford could post best-ever profits in Q1 2013

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

Analysts are saying that Ford Motor Company may have earned a record $2.7 billion pretax profit in North America during the first quarter of 2013, a number that represents its highest first quarter profit ever. The impressive earnings are further proof that the American automaker is making a solid comeback as the economy begins to recover.
Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan Chase are estimating that Ford's first quarter North American profit may have topped 12 percent. The firm cited the automaker's fresh lineup, but noted that CEO Alan Mulally needs to uphold the pace as the company works to gain ground in the car and utility segments.
Ford's success has been led by increased demand for its F-Series pickup, the best-selling vehicle in the US for 31 years, and by the Fusion sedan that recently recorded its best-ever quarterly sales in the domestic market. Ford is expected to release its first-quarter revenue on Wednesday, of this week.

Next Shelby Mustang to wear GT350 nameplate

Fri, 21 Jun 2013

Earlier this month, rumors started to swirl 'round the web about the next-generation Ford SVT Mustang - the halo version of the all-new 2015 'Stang seen testing in the gallery above. Originally, we heard that the Shelby GT500 moniker would be dumped in favor of "a name you're familiar with," which some sources guessed could mean a return of the Cobra nameplate.
That might not be correct. According to Road & Track, citing a report from Mustangs Daily, the new range-topping Mustang will bring back the Shelby GT350 name - currently used on an aftermarket version of Ford's Pony produced by Shelby American (take a look at our recent Quick Spin of that car). Expect the new GT350 to be quite a bit different than the current GT500 - it will be all motor, using a V8 that's derived from the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter Coyote engine (though it will no doubt have a higher displacement). The GT350 will be a lot more powerful than the next Mustang GT, which is expected to offer something like 450 horsepower, but won't be quite as absurd as the 662-horsepower GT500 we currently enjoy.
The Shelby GT350 will reportedly bow with the rest of the new Mustang range at the 2014 New York Auto Show, which coincides exactly with the original Mustang's debut at the New York World's Fair in 1964. If that seems far out, don't worry, we'll be seeing the rest of the 2015 Mustang range before then, but Road & Track reports that the 2014 Detroit Auto Show stage will be reserved for the reveal of the next Ford F-150 pickup.
