It has sat in my driveway since May 2012. Mobile Mechanics of Orlando give this vehicle two thumbs up saying this is the cleanest 2006 engine he has ever seen. I am OCD about timely maintenance of my vehicles. The VCT Solenoid has been unplugged so the engine runs smoother (therefore, check engine light comes on, unnecessarily). Rides like a dream now! Plug the VCT in and the engine idles rough, don't do it!This truck use to be a work vehicle for my husband who has been given a vehicle by his current employer. Regular wear & tear in the paint. Front bumper has a medium dent from someone backing into it. Small paint chips from roadway rocks. Chrome is in good shape. Wheels are in good shape. Interior is super clean! Frame has been polished & is in good shape. Bought this truck off a Toyota dealership lot in April 2010."

This vehicle has a Black Clearcoat Exterior with Flint Premium Cloth on the interior. Truck seats 6 adults comfortably. Truck is equipped with the following upgrades Trailer Tow Package, Tuff liner, Hard Tonneau Locking Cover, Keyless Entry Key Pad, Deluxe Mirror Package, 17" Mach Aluminum Wheels with paint accents, 35.7 gallon Fuel Tank, and Traction Assist!

Mobile Mechanics of Orlando just completed a pre-sale inspection for me. Plus, I just had the oil changed, new windshield wipers, and brand new starter. All fluids, brakes, and spark plugs have been replaced within the last 10,000 miles for optimum performance. Nothing to do but drive away!

This vehicle has 130074 miles and drives like a limousine! Perfect for an active family or business that needs a strong work truck with towing and lots of seating!

Ford and GM link bonus checks to quality scores

Tue, 29 Apr 2014

The poor first quarter earnings of Ford and General Motors are having an effect all the way up the food chain. Both automakers struggled with recalls in the first three months of the year, and, according to The Detroit News, they have responded by increasing the percentage of bonuses tied to vehicle quality for salaried workers, including top executives.
GM announced that 25 percent of bonuses (up from 10 percent) for all salaried workers would be tied to its vehicle quality standards. The automaker revealed in its financial report that it spent $1.3 billion on recall-related repairs in the first quarter, and net income was down 86 percent.
Ford also increased the quality proportion of bonuses for about 26,000 salaried workers all the way up to CEO Alan Mulally from 10 percent to 20 percent. The company announced in its report that the amount paid out in warranty and recall claims was about $400 million higher than expected in the first quarter. Its net income fell 39 percent from the previous year. "The change reflects how critical quality is to our overall business," said spokesperson Todd Nissen speaking to Autoblog.

2015 Ford Mustang renders reveal look of the real thing

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

This is, according to the pony-car obsessed kids over at Mustang6G.com, the closest, most accurate rendering of the new, 2015 Ford Mustang to date. Artis Chazcron used a combination of Ford CAD images and information from assorted spy shots to assemble a fairly handsome car, albeit one that conforms to the tired cliché of being more evolutionary than revolutionary.
Now, it's very important to note that these are still speculative renders, and that they only represent the base car - that could explain the lack of the Mustang's vestigial side scoops, along with other, newer styling cues that Mustang6G seems to think will arrive on production models. Those items include a new, double-bubble roof, although the Mustang aficionados claim that even if it were present, it'd barely be visible from these angles.
The front end is pretty spot on, compared to what we've seen from earlier spy shots, while the tail, with its interesting light design is something new. The louvered taillights look quite different from the current version, obviously, though Mustang has gone the whimsical route with taillights before. Also, note the new rear diffuser uses an integrated reverse light and rear foglight, the latter of which is required for sale in Europe.

Auto critic calls out Corvette, Mustang and Cherokee faithful

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

Most automotive purists fear change, but not without reason. Change, after all, did kill big-block V8s, along with most station wagons and manual transmissions. But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long. That's fair enough, but do you think Phelan is on point, or all wet? Head on over to the Detroit Free Press to read his words, then have your say in Comments.
