2006 Ford F-150 XLT, 4-door supercab, 4wd, 5.4L, ONLY 35860 MILES, Automatic, air, cruise, tilt, power windows, power locks, factory CD player, "Northwoods" Edition. It has a towing package, bedliner, good tires and brakes. This vehicle comes with a SALVAGE title due to damage to the drivers side and roof. It has a clean vehicle history report (carfax and autocheck), with no accident reported, so we can only guess as to how the damage occurred. It will need repair or replacement of the left box side, repair or replacement of both left doors, both side view mirrors, and repair roof damage. The damage is light and should be a very straight foward repair. Several local salvage yards have the correct green replacement parts. No air bag deployment, no damage to frame, engine, tranamission, glass or right side, no stored trouble codes. It runs and drives perfect; it has new spark plugs, filters, and a fresh oil change. The interior is very clean with minimal signs of wear, no stains, odors or evidence of smokers or pets. (pictures of interior will be added this weekend). We make every effort to describe our vehicles accurately; if you have any questions, contact us. We welcome and encourage third party inspections to assure buyer satisfaction. We offer all of our builder vehicles unrepaired for a few weeks before we perform the needed repairs and sell them as rebuilt vehicles. This is not a vehicle for you if you have to pay a bodyshop to do the repairs. However, this is an excellent opportunity for a bodyman, car guy or do-it-yourselfer to save thousands of $$$ on a nice, clean F150. Clean title retail book is $17600 NADA Guides, and $19652 Kelly Blue Book. I will email the Carfax and Autocheck history reports if you provide an email address. Aussie Ford Falcon GT shows its rear end to Lamborghini Gallardo

Sun, 27 Apr 2014

When Ford Australia announces, as it did recently, that it wants to celebrate the end of its Ford Performance Vehicle division with a Falcon FPV GT-F that celebrates big-bore origins of the nameplate, it's talking about the kind of car in this video.
At some point the classic Falcon GT - said to be an XY series - was invited to a test of acceleration against a Lamborghini Gallardo. At the very least, the Falcon GT had a 351 cubic-inch motor and 300 horsepower, but whatever this guy's got under the hood of his yellow sedan makes has him so confident that he doesn't even move his elbow from its resting place on the door.
You'll find a reminder of Ford Australia's heyday, a raucous exhaust note and some NSFW language in the short video below.

Ford E-Series chassis cabs and cutaways to survive mass Transit onslaught

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

In March 2013, Ford announced we'd be getting chassis cab and cutaway versions of the Transit. Since incoming Transit vans will soon be rolling over the grave of the E-Series van, it was assumed that all E-Series models would go six feet under as well. According to a report from PickupTrucks.com, however, that's not the case, the report claiming that the highly modifiable E-350 and E-450 chassis cab and cutaway versions will continue being produced in Avon Lake, Ohio "at least until 2020."
Being decades old, the be-cabbed E-Series platform has found its way under an army of heavy-duty shuttle buses, work truck and ambulances. Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch verified the production horizon, telling Autoblog that the particular E-Series configuration "are a higher GVWR than the Transit chassis cab and cutaway (available this summer), which is more Class 2 and a new segment for us." So there you have it.

Ford adds 850 jobs to build 2015 F-150

Tue, 14 Oct 2014

Pickup trucks tend not to advance at quite the same pace as the rest of the industry. That's what makes the new Ford F-150 so remarkable, jettisoning its old steel construction in favor of aluminum. It's a game changer that Ford is betting big on, and in anticipation of surging demand, the Blue Oval automaker is adding 850 new jobs to put the thing together.
Those 850 new employees will be centered at Ford's Rouge complex in Michigan - with 300 at Dearborn Stamping, 50 more at Dearborn Diversified and 500 at the Dearborn Truck facility, the latter of which has already kicked off what Ford describes as "the largest manufacturing transformation in decades." Old manufacturing equipment is being replaced with the latest technologies, and even the Ford Rouge Factory Tour is undergoing a complete overhaul.
The new jobs come as part of the commitments Ford made to the UAW in 2011 to create 12,000 hourly jobs in the United States by 2015 - a number which Ford has already exceeded at 14,000. Over 4,000 of those are centered in southeastern Michigan.
