Up for sale is my 2004 Ford F150 Crew Cab (4 full doors) with 63,000 original miles. This vehicle has just been serviced including oil change, new battery, new serpentine belt and pulley, and windshield wipers. I just had my mechanic go through the vehicle and he gave the thumbs up to sell. The tires on the truck are four matching tires with maybe 2k of wear. The transmission shifts smoothly and the air conditioning is very cold. All mechanical items are in working condition. The truck is completely stock with factory foor mats, keys, and remote entry. This has been my daily driver and I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere in the country. Options: Automatic Transmission 2WD ABS Braking Tow Package 5.4 liter V8 Motor Power Windows and Locks Cruise Control Ice Cold Air Conditioning Leather Seating 18" Alloy Wheels Bed Liner CD Stereo System Two Keys One Remote Factory Floor Mats Running Boards Interior Condition: The interior is clean and is free of major defects. The passengers rear door has some discoloration around the speaker cover (see pic). Exterior Condition: The exterior of the vehicle does have some scratches mostly on the drivers door and fender. The drivers door has two scratches that have been touched-up. One scratch is about three inches and the other is about two inches. The drivers fender has a touch-up scratch about three inches and a small dent near the headlight. The rear bumper is damaged and could be replaced for about $300 with shipping. All damage/wear are noted in the pictures. Auction Guidelines: There is a $200 non-refundable deposit due withing 48 hours of the end of the auction and full payment is due within 7 days. Payment in the form of cash or money wire is preferred, cashiers check will be held for up to 10 days before vehicle and title are released. No personal checks. This is an "as-is" auction, all defects have been described to the best of my ability. The description should not take the place of a inspection. Inspections are welcomed and advised. Sorry I can't list my personal number on ebay, but if your seriously interested email me and I will respond with a phone number. Check out my feedback and bid with confidence. I have sold cars on ebay before and it seems to be the best way for myself and the buyer. I am not a dealer, this is my personal vehicle. I priced this truck to sell and most of my auctions sell via the Buy It Now. KELLY BLUE BOOK "FAIR CONDITION": $17,380!!! BUY IT NOW $10,999!!!

Ford Fiesta rally car warms up in Sweden

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

Rallycross is seeing a sudden surge in popularity with two series bringing the racing to the US and Europe. The Ford OMSE team is competing in both championships this season, and it saw no reason not to hold practice with a highly modified Fiesta in the snow of Northern Sweden. It brought together Andreas Bakkerud from the European-focused FIA World Rallycross Championship and Patrik Sandell from the North American-focused Global Rallycross series for some training and fun. They certainly appear to be enjoying themselves, too, with some lovely pirouettes in the powder.
If you're unfamiliar with rallycross, the discipline combines the best of rallying and circuit racing. Drivers (with no co-drivers) race rally cars over a circuit that generally mixes dirt and asphalt, and unlike traditional rallying, multiple cars compete side-by-side at once. Even better, it's often a very two-fisted form of motorsports with lots of car-to-car contact. Global Rallycross and World Rallycross will both kick off their seasons in May. With spring on the way, scroll down to watch the Fiesta kick up some of the last snow drifts of the year.

Mysterious small Ford spied in Germany

Sat, 29 Jun 2013

Our spy photographers have just popped off a few shots of something curious. This little runabout was spotted in Germany out testing with a current-generation Ford Fiesta. We're fairly confident the machine is a Ford, but exactly which Ford model is up for debate. The hatchback could be the next-generation Ka, but we've also heard that the Blue Oval supermini might not get a replacement. Our shooter says the five-door is a bit smaller than the current Fiesta, though there is a chance that this rig is just an engineering mule for drivetrain development. Then again, it could be a model built specifically for the South African market or China, or not a Ford at all.
Whatever it is and wherever it's headed, you can check out in the gallery for a closer look before heading into Comments to weigh in with your best guess.

Ford's Farley apologizes for saying Blue Oval tracks customers with GPS

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

Ford marketing head honcho Jim Farley made waves at CES this week by telling show attendees, "We know everyone who breaks the law, we know when you're doing it." according to a report by Business Insider. Farley continued by saying, "We have GPS in your car, so we know what you're doing. By the way, we don't supply that data to anyone."
Farley has since amended his statement, saying that Ford dose not, in fact, track its customers in their cars "without their approval or consent."
Apparently carried away with a hypothetical notion, Farley was attempting to describe how Ford might be able to employee aggregated user data for things like accurate traffic reporting and pattern spotting. A Ford spokesperson confirmed with Business Insider that its GPS units are not sharing the whereabouts of drivers, though there are a few on-board services that might do so. After opting in to the services (and presumably being made aware of any/all tracking and data collection), Ford's Sync Services Directions and Crew Chief software do, in fact, allow data collection as a means of improving both systems. Farley added that the opt-in data is not shared, even when being tracked.
