Unfortunately I have to sell a couple of my baby's (vehicles) to free up some extra cash as I am planning to purchase a 2nd home..... I love this truck. This is the 6th Harley Davidson truck that I've owned and this has to be the best running out of them all. It is a 2003 aniversary edition that has just 109,800 well maintained/easy going miles ( miles will continue to go up as I may continue to daily drive the truck) some modifications include: diablo chip, upper and lower pulleys, diablo handheld tuner, boost gauge mounted on steering column, jlp thunder pipe and intake, oil seperator, lowered suspension w jlp shackles (drives smooth and straight) Magnaflow exhaust w side exit/lightning style tips, alpine head unit, eclipse door speakers, upgraded amps, pioneer subwoofer in rear center console, hid headlights and fog lights, tinted rear taillights and front corner lights, new tires, new weather tech front floor mats, full synthetic oil change (300 miles ago) transmission was also fully rebuilt less than 500 miles ago and has a 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty... Tranny shifts perfectly, doesn't miss a beat!! These trucks are getting harder to find in good condition, with low miles and not Beat to s##t, this truck has been babied and it shows. Paint is in great shape w the exception of a few small scratches, I also recently had the bed professionally sprayed with a spray in bed liner and purchased a brand new bed extender and installed it. I am selling the truck to the highest bidder at NO RESERVE... If you are seriously interested and would like to make me an offer or just ask me questions about the truck, don't wait until the end of auction/last few days/hours to contact me,,,feel free to call/text me anytime at 7272770319 or just email me through here.Truck is listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if need be. Next Lincoln Navigator to drop V8 in favor of V6, but Ford Expedition might get both
Tue, 12 Mar 2013A great many buyers fled from full-size body-on-frame SUVs to car-based crossovers in large measure to save fuel. But that doesn't mean there's still not a buying audience for more traditional truck-based utility vehicles, and those consumers doubtlessly wouldn't mind saving some dollars at the pump, too. According to Motor Trend, those shoppers might be in luck.
That's because the magazine has confirmed that Ford isn't walking away from the full-size SUV segment, and it's poised to do something about its offerings' economy ratings, too. According to MT, global Lincoln director Matt VanDyke has hinted that the next Navigator may drop two cylinders and go with a V6 model - the current model gets just 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 on the highway from its 5.4-liter V8. The obvious fitment would be Ford's 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, an engine that has spread like kudzu throughout the rest of the Blue Oval's large vehicle lineup.
Downsized turbocharged engines like Ford's EcoBoost franchise have come under fire as of late for not delivering their EPA fuel economy ratings, but their benefits extend beyond consumption - the 3.5L offers superior power and a better torque curve than the naturally aspirated V8. MT also suggests that Ford's 3.7-liter V6 could form the base engine for the next Navi - it has similar horsepower but a lot less torque than the current 5.4L. That may be less of a problem with the next generation tipped to go on a diet, which could level the playing field somewhat.
Watch these Australian Ford and Holden muscle cars duke it out
Wed, 21 Aug 2013Australia's Motoring has put together a little video on two of the great performance vehicles available down under - the Holden VF Commodore HSV GTS and the Ford Falcon FPV GT R-Spec. And while both FPV and the Falcon might be on their way out, there's still plenty of time for a little head-to-head comparison between the two.
The cars aren't all that well evenly matched, though. The Ford boasts a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8, which the Aussies measure out at 449 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. The HSV, though, with its Corvette-derived, 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 is just too powerful - 576 hp and 545 lb-ft of torque.
Predictably, it doesn't end too well for the Ford. As the guys from Motoring point out, the new VF Commodore is just too new and too good, with its extra power and its adaptive dampers (GM's excellent MagnaRide). Interestingly, Motoring did point out that the Holden's electric steering is better than the Ford's hydraulic steering, which is a lot like a Porsche purist saying they prefer water-cooled engines to air cooled.
Justin Bell makes a horrible policeman
Mon, 11 Nov 2013If you're wondering what type of person makes a good police officer, it seems a racecar driver doesn't. Let us rephrase that: Justin Bell, a racecar driver and the host of Motor Trend's World's Fastest Car Show, recently got behind the wheel of a 5.0-liter Ford Mustang police car with Sergeant Daniel Shrubb, co-founder of DRAGG (Drag Racing Against Gangs and Graffiti), and proved that his high-performance-driving skillset is a bit too aggressive for police duty.
While it's easy to get carried away in a Mustang GT, a patrol car driver must maintain some sort of restraint while pursuing a criminal, so as not to come off as a reckless driver to the public. We'll admit, some pursuit techniques are counter-intuitive to performance driving (stay off the gas in a lane-change exercise?), but Bell's judicious use of the handbrake can't be normal procedure.
Watch "The One With The Ford Mustang 5.0 Police Car" (yes, we caught the Friends reference too) below to see some shenanigans in one of Michigan's finest patrol cars.
