This is a great project truck!
I bought it as it sits, prior owner thought it needed a
starter.
I put a starter, new positive battery cable and solenoid now
she cranks and tries to start but doesn't.
The truck was sitting before I got and has sat for the 6
months I have owned it.
My community is on my butt being it isn't registered and we
are now have a baby SO no time or funds for a project.
The prior owner bought it new in 99 he was a smoker and used
it for work so the interior could use a bath.
The odometer doesn't light up but is 99% sure the mileage is
162k +/-
Here is what I know it needs:
Tires all around.
Brakes and rotors all around.
Parking brake cables
Tune up? most likely.
The rear brakes are frozen so the rear tires wont roll at
all.
Plan accordingly when picking up, know it will need to be
dragged onto a trailer or flat bed.
Starting bid is low and not much more than it's worth in
scrap.
No reserve so only serious bidders please. Balance is due at time of pick up in cash or certified bank check only.

Ford hiring 800 more salaried workers than originally expected
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Ford is on a roll this year, with excellent quarterly earnings and better-than-expected vehicle sales leading to 800 more job opportunities with the Blue Oval. In January, Ford announced that it wanted to hire 2,200 salaried employees, but, since then, that figure has been revised to 3,000, representing a 36-percent increase over original projections. About 1,500 of those jobs remain, 80 percent of which are technical professional positions.
"Engineers and technical professionals are in as much demand as our cars, trucks and SUVs," says Felicia Fields, Ford Group Vice President for Human Resources. Helping to spur this job growth are increasing market share on both the West and East Coast and robust demand for the Ford Escape and F-150.
To find job candidates, Ford is reaching out to them via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, in addition to the company's corporate career site. The Blue Oval is also ramping up its presence on college campuses.

A 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder takes over where the old 2.0 left off, making 270 hp and 300 lb-ft.
Right now, around 23 percent of all Ford vehicles sold in the United States is a utility vehicle. By 2020, Ford expects that figure to increase all the way to 29 percent. Put simply, SUVs and crossovers are very big business at Ford. So, when it comes time to update the Explorer, Ford's original sport utility vehicle, you can be sure that a whole heck of a lot of effort goes into the process.
The big dune jump and the damage done
Mon, 20 May 2013The Silver Lake sand dunes see their fair share of well-built trophy trucks executing impressive jumps. Drivers build insane pieces of machinery for the express purpose of sailing through the air like mad men and women.
Mike Higgins is no stranger to the area. His heavily modified Ford trophy truck has gone flying through the sky on more than one occasion, but he recently bit off more than he could chew. After hitting a particularly lofty dune, Higgins went airborne for a ridiculous 180 feet before becoming intimately familiar with the finer points of gravity.
While Higgins nailed the jump, his landing fell short of wowing the judges. The impact very nearly broke his truck in two. Despite the mechanical mayhem, the driver walked away without a scratch, proving that occasionally miracles really do happen.
