THIS AUCTION IS FOR MY 1974 FORD F -100 CUSTOM CAB SHORTBED PICKUP. IT CURRENTLY HAS 69848 ORIGINAL MILES AND IS EQUIPPED WITH A 360 C.I. V-8 MOTOR, 4 SPEED GRANNY TRANSMISSION [rare for a f100 shortbed], LIMITED SLIP REAR END AND FACTORY DISC BRAKES. IT HAD A CAMPER SHELL SINCE NEW SO THE BED IS IN EXCEPTIONALLY NICE CONDITION. I JUST PUT A SET OF GOODYEAR WRANGLER TIRES ON IT A FEW MONTHS AGO. I PURCHASED IT FROM THE ESTATE OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND IT RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. WHAT YOU SEE IS THE ORIGINAL PAINT. AT ONE TIME IT HAD AFTERMARKET AIR BUT ALL THE REMAINS IS THE DASH VENTS. THERE IS NO A/C EQUIPMENT ON THIS TRUCK BUT YOU CAN ADD IT BY GOING TO VINTAGE AIR OR ANOTHER MAKER. Ford E-Series chassis cabs and cutaways to survive mass Transit onslaught
Fri, 18 Apr 2014In March 2013, Ford announced we'd be getting chassis cab and cutaway versions of the Transit. Since incoming Transit vans will soon be rolling over the grave of the E-Series van, it was assumed that all E-Series models would go six feet under as well. According to a report from PickupTrucks.com, however, that's not the case, the report claiming that the highly modifiable E-350 and E-450 chassis cab and cutaway versions will continue being produced in Avon Lake, Ohio "at least until 2020."
Being decades old, the be-cabbed E-Series platform has found its way under an army of heavy-duty shuttle buses, work truck and ambulances. Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch verified the production horizon, telling Autoblog that the particular E-Series configuration "are a higher GVWR than the Transit chassis cab and cutaway (available this summer), which is more Class 2 and a new segment for us." So there you have it.
Ford F-150 Tremor to pace NASCAR Truck Series this weekend
Wed, 14 Aug 2013Ford's bro-tastic F-150 Tremor will be pacing this weekend's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Michigan International Speedway. The Tremor fills a gap in the Ford F-Series lineup that we imagine the NASCAR set have clamored for - a hot-rod pickup truck.
Where the F-150 Raptor is designed to go quick on anything, the Tremor and its 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 are designed to tackle the road. The 365-horsepower and 420-pound-foot EcoBoost is unchanged from the rest of the F-150 line, but it combines the shortest drive ratio with the lightest two-door body, making it a bit of hot rod.
Ford will be offering hot laps with Michigan native Brad Keselowski behind the wheel of the Tremor for fans that arrive in the Irish Hills on August 14. The main showing for the new pickup will be the August 17 race, though, when it'll lead the field at the start of the race and through cautions.

Considering those truths, the fact that we even need to point this out this is incredibly disturbing: taking "selfies" while behind the wheel is exceptionally stupid. But, it's a thing that a third of 18- to 24-year-old British drivers have copped to doing, according to a new study from Ford.
Ford, through its Driving Skills for Life program, surveyed 7,000 smartphone owners from across Europe, all aged between 18 and 24, and found that young British drivers were more likely to snap a selfie while behind the wheel than their counterparts in Germany, France, Romania, Italy, Spain and Belgium.
According to the study, the average selfie takes 14 seconds, which, while traveling at 60 miles per hour, is long enough to travel over the length of nearly four football fields (the Ford study uses soccer fields, but we translated it to football, because, you know, America). That's an extremely dangerous distance to not be focused on the road.
