1968 Ford F-100 Pickup Ranger 5.9l 360v8 4 Bbl Swb All Original 100% Rust Free on 2040-cars
Lilburn, Georgia, United States
A true original unmolested truck. The truck is tight. The doors open and shut the way they did when the truck left the factory, tight. The windows are the same, roll up and down perfectly. There is zero rust in this truck. Pay attention to the body panel fit in the pictures. From the doors to fenders to how the hood fits. Again tight. The underneath of the truck is near perfect. Again ZERO rust. The truck has been stored indoors its entire life.
Speedometer works correctly and the truck is clocking miles correctly. All gauges are working. Truck has AC but the belt is not hooked up. The AC compressor is not locked up. Heater works. All lights and turn signals work, except for left rear brake light. Bed of truck is in excellent condition. Tool box on truck is period correct and comes with keys. Tailgate works properly with no defects.
The truck runs very well and handles perfectly. Again tight. The truck sits on the ground the way it is supposed to. The 3 speed on the floor is a Hurst shifter and it is hooked up correctly and shifting is smooth and easy. Brakes work very well. Factory correct radio not working. Truck has a slight exhaust manifold leak on passenger side. Flywheel whines.
There is some spider webbing in the original white paint that is consistent with the trucks age. Having been stored indoors the truck still holds an excellent shine. Carpets are original and in excellent condition with the exception of just inside drivers door showing slight wear. Dash is perfect. Door panels display some cracking. Steering wheel center cap missing. Glass in truck is near perfect. Tires are new.
I have the Title from 1969. I have the original owners manual and the original AC owners manual. Feel free to ask any questions. I am easy to deal with, cash is king. Truck also advertised locally, auction may end early. I will help anyway possible with shipping including delivery to any Atlanta area shipping company of winning bidders choice. Aussie Ford Falcon GT shows its rear end to Lamborghini Gallardo
Sun, 27 Apr 2014When Ford Australia announces, as it did recently, that it wants to celebrate the end of its Ford Performance Vehicle division with a Falcon FPV GT-F that celebrates big-bore origins of the nameplate, it's talking about the kind of car in this video.
At some point the classic Falcon GT - said to be an XY series - was invited to a test of acceleration against a Lamborghini Gallardo. At the very least, the Falcon GT had a 351 cubic-inch motor and 300 horsepower, but whatever this guy's got under the hood of his yellow sedan makes has him so confident that he doesn't even move his elbow from its resting place on the door.
You'll find a reminder of Ford Australia's heyday, a raucous exhaust note and some NSFW language in the short video below.
Woman trades 1914 Model T in for 2013 Corvette
Wed, 17 Apr 2013We're sure that dealers must see all sorts of interesting trade ins, but this one may take the cake. Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, Louisiana, recently had a customer come in with an odd request. Tina Boyter wanted to trade in three vehicles on a brand-new 2013 Chevy Corvette. Among the hardware was 1980 Corvette, a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1914 Ford Model T. While the '80 Corvette had been her personal car for years, the '78 Eldorado had belonged to Boyter's mother before she traded up to a Lincoln. The big Caddy had just 10,290 miles on the clock when it was traded in.
And the Model T? Boyter says the car was built as a racer by Ford, and that it had been a show winner for years when it belonged to her father. But, after spending the last 16 years in a museum with its fluids drained, Boyter decided it was time to shed some of the past. She walked into the dealer, laid eyes on a white 2LT Corvette with a red interior and offered to trade all three of the vehicles in on the sports car.
Why not wait for the C7? "I fell in love with that one when I walked in the door," She said. We can't fault her there.
2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost flogged and analyzed by Ignition
Mon, 13 Oct 2014Aside from the way it looks and perhaps its independent rear suspension, the biggest bit of news on the 2015 Mustang may be the inclusion of its 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. That blown mill marks the first time since the Mustang SVO of the '80s that a turbo has been fitted under the engine of Ford's pony car.
The Mustang EcoBoost is the subject of the latest episode of Ignition from Motor Trend, giving us a great look at the technical, nitty-gritty side of the turbocharged coupe. Covering it from bow to stern, host Carlos Lago walks us through the boosted Ford before taking to the track for some driving impressions, with particular praise given to the low-end grunt of the 2.3-liter mill.
Check out the full video and then let us know which 2015 Mustang has your interest piqued the most - the EcoBoost four, the 5.0L V8 or the entry-level V6.
