I'm selling 1968 Ford F100 Custom Cab longbed converted to shortbed. Frame was sectioned and boxed professionally. Driveshaft was shortened and balanced professionally also. Then a shortbed box was installed from 1967 F100. The truck has new custom machined American Racing Torq Thrust wheels size 17x8 with 255/50-17 tires all around. The truck has tilt steering column, power steering, power disc brakes and front suspension from a 1977 F-100. Steering wheel is a leather Nardi 14 inch. The gauge cluster is from a F600 truck from the same era. All gauges work except speedometer but the Gps is what I use to gauge speed. Has a double din Kenwood stereo with Gps, Navigation, and IPod controls. Dynamat installed throughout cab. Has aftermarket cruise control and power windows. AC Unit is from Classic Air products. The engine is 360FE Big Block stroked to 410ci. There is a RV style camshaft for excellent torque and great idle qualities aswell as a slightly lumpy muscle idle. Has Long tube exhaust Headers with Magnaflow Mufflers and resonators for a quiet sound. Engine has an aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold with a Holley street avenger Carb. The transmission is NV4500 5 speed from a 2001 Dodge Ram with an Advance Adapter kit mated to the original bellhousing. This transmission was chosen to handle the torque from the big block engine and for the added economy of the 5th gear. Truck drives well and can be driven daily. Bed has new Duplicolor brand bedliner in flat black applied to the cargo area. Have some receipts for the work on the truck. I'm asking a fraction of what was spent to get it to this point. Still needs a few more things especially paint and bodywork.  Has some rust spots on lower corners of fenders and both door bottom corners.Has small dent on front of hood. Windshield has a crack about 12 inches on passenger side. The windshield doesnt really bother the view since its on the very right. I will throw in an extra door and some misc parts. Unfortunately I have to sell truck to fund my other project. My loss your gain like the saying says!! Tags are up to date just transfer and drive!
Please ask questions through email. I may have missed some things. If possible I encourage to view truck in person before bidding. Again if your not sure just ask. I can provide more detail pics upon request. There will be NO Returns after truck has been won. No exceptions. Please don't bid if you have no intention in buying.
Valve covers leak a little so I'm including gaskets and sealant.
 Please email for more pics.
Also bed has trim holes.
I can assist with transport but at buyer's expense. Email for questions.
Vehicle will be sold with no warranty.
Buyer has three days to contact me after auction closes. Payment must be paid in cash and in full maximum 1 week after auction closes unless an agreement is made prior to winning. Or I will have no choice but to relist and give negative feedback to unpaying buyer. Thanks
NO RESERVE!! Listed locally so I reserve the right to end auction at anytime
I will update pics as I am personally still working on the cosmetics of the truck.

Please make sure you read all of the description before bidding. Thanks

Ford reflects on radical Mustang concept that never reached showrooms

Tue, 25 Jun 2013

The Ford Mustang that we all know and love made major waves in the auto industry way back in 1964 by offering style and reasonable pricing with optional V8 power. Its long hood and short rear deck, combined with a low-slung and sporty cockpit, made a lasting impression in the minds of consumers and car designers alike, and its basic shape has so endured the test of time that it's still in use today.
This being the case, you may be interested to know that the first Mustang of 1964.5 wasn't actually the first Mustang at all, being preceded by a concept car that made its public debut in 1962. This concept was nothing like the car that would eventually make it into production, with a radical wedge shape and a small V4 engine sitting behind the car's two occupants, driving the rear wheels. In other words, the conceptual Mustang was pretty much the complete opposite of the production Mustang besides the name.
Ford has kindly decided go through its massive archive to bring the original Mustang concept back into the public eye. The company goes so far as to pose this question to fans of the pony car: "Should we borrow a few of these style elements for the next iteration of the Mustang?" Check out our image gallery above and then let 'em know what you think in the Comments below.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

Ford Mustang GT350 seen and heard in motion for the first time

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

We just recently saw our first spy shots of the next-gen hi-po Ford Mustang slated to replace the Shelby GT500, but now we're getting our first look - and listen - of prototypes captured on video. Mustang6g.com has the video (along with some different spy shots), which show that, if nothing else, SVT knows how to tune an exhaust system. The :50 mark is a good example of this, but fast-forward to around 2:00 where the driver revs the engine and really gets on the throttle hard taking off from a stop.
There's still no definitive evidence that the next-gen SVT Mustang - said to be called GT350 - will be naturally aspirated, but it sounds just as menacing as the current Shelby GT500. While the video posted below exhibits the sort of quality that is to be expected from someone driving while trying to film someone who is attempting to elude being filmed, it's still exciting to see and hear this new Mustang in motion.
