Great old solid 1965 Ford F100, one of the best years of the classic Ford Pick Up Truck.  I bought this from its long-time owner last year and did quite a bit of work to get it back in great shape.  It has had a thorough going through mechanically.  It had the engine gone through several years back under its last owner, but we gave it a refresh.  In the engine bay, the carb was gone through, it has a new fuel pump, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, hoses, belt, alternator, voltage regulator, and much more.  The brakes were completely gone through with new master cylinder, Wheel cylinders, brake shoes, springs, hoses and brake light switch.  The wiring was gone through and it has several new switches as well as other parts to make everything work like it should such as the wipers, lights, heater etc.   The wheels were redone/painted with tires and new chrome lug nuts and trim rings.

It was never my intention to redo the paint on the truck, I really liked the patina just the way it was and just cleaned and preserved it.  On the interior, the steering wheel was repaired and refinished and the seat was completely rebuilt with foam, coils and new all leather upholstery in a very high quality thick leather (like in a King Ranch pick up) and fitted with Alligator hide inserts.  This was an expensive upgrade, but looks amazing!  The rest of the interior is orginal, and in good shape.

If you are looking for an inexpensive classic truck, this is a huge bang for your buck.  I am selling for a fraction of what I have in it due to personal circumstances.  Please bid to buy and be serious.  Someone will get a great deal.  Its of course no where near perfect, but thats not the point of the truck.  It looks good and has had lots of $$ spent.  Just needs your finishing touches to make it your own.

2014 Ford Fusion order guide reveals new base Hybrid model, equipment changes

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

We've gotten our grubby little digits on the dealer order guide for the as-yet-unreleased 2014 Ford Fusion thanks to an anonymous tipster, and while there isn't much that's unexpected, there are some meaningful equipment changes to report after the rakish sedan's first year on the market.
Mechanically, the big news is, of course, the recently confirmed availability of the 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder paired with a six-speed automatic. The powertrain replaces the 1.6-liter automatic setup of 2013, though if you want a manual transmission, you'll still get the extra .1-liter of displacement.
On the equipment front, there are newly available rear inflatable seatbelts - as seen previously on the Explorer - along with a new heated steering wheel and cooled seat option on Titanium and Titanium Hybrid models (the latter two options will be late availability).

Ford Focus Electric and ST recalled over lighting issue

Mon, 12 Aug 2013

Ford is recalling 6,308 units of the 2012 and 2013 Focus Electric and 2013 Focus ST that were fitted with HID headlights because a "wiring incompatibility" could keep the front side marker lights from working. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the recall should begin in the middle of this month, after which owners can take their cars to dealers to have the wiring assembly repaired free of charge.
You can find more information in the NHTSA bulletin posted below.

Jay Leno and Lee Iacocca reflect on 50 years of Ford Mustang

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

Lee Iacocca oversaw the birth of the Ford Mustang back in the 1960s, rocketing the new pony car nameplate into million-unit sales territory in its initial go-round and cementing its place in the history books. Thus, we were immediately drawn to this latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage, in which the funnyman hosts Iacocca for a look at the origins of Ford's most iconic sports car. The legendary auto exec is looking notably more frail than when we last saw him, but if we're being asked around as a video guest when we're 89 years old, we'll consider that evidence of a life well lived.
Serial No. 0001 is on hand for the occasion for Jay's romp through history, as is the historic Mustang 1 showcar from 1962. Of course, the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang GT (in prototype form) makes an appearance at the end of the episode with chief engineer Dave Pericak, as well. Get some, below.
