1965 Ford F100 Long Bed 3 Speed Manual Inline 6 300 Ci on 2040-cars
Riverside, California, United States
Runs great. Registered until Dec. No Smog Needed! 53200 (or 153200) miles. Odometer exceeds mechanical limits. 3 speed on the floor, just needs the shifting rods to put it back on the tree. Interior needs work, Exterior does also. No thermostat, due to it being rusted shut, so it was overheating. We took out the thermostat and now it is fine. Should be fine to put in a new one. Radiator was leaking, so it may need to be welded in a spot or two, but hasn't leaked (or overheated) since we took out the thermostat. We are currently working on the hood. (Sanding and priming, also getting dents out.) Nice Bronco rims and mirrors, new fuel pump, wood dash insert. 8 foot bed with heavy duty bumper. This is a work horse with an inline 6 300 CI engine. Great for a project truck or as is. Easy to work on. Lots of room in the engine bay. We were going to put a flat bed on it, but never ended up doing it. Driver side window off the track. A pillow in the door is currently holding the window up. Some rust on the floor boards, but replacements are easy to find.
Has original black and yellow plates. Clear title in hand. Thanks for looking! |

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
Scroll down for a press release and video, which shows footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang testing with minimal camouflage. This is probably the same track session where we got our first look at the Mustang's face back in August.
Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
