Truck had complete frame-off restoration about 15 years ago. Frame was coated with POR 15, has new wiring, Ford 302 ci V-8 from a 1970 Torino. Motor has an Edelbrock intake and 4bbl carburetor, Accel HEI ignition and chrome 1 wire alternator. The C 6 automatic transmission and the Dana rear end came out of a 1981 Ford truck which allows the truck to cruise at speed on the Interstate. Have driven it over to Cruisin the Coast the last two years. The rest of the truck is original including the heater, radio and Fomoco spotlight. The truck has PPG basecoat/clearcoat in original Torch Red and Raven Black. The odometer shows a little over 59,000 miles which due to the history of the truck is believed to be original mileage. The truck was originally purchased by New Orleans Charity Hospital and had been on blocks since the early 70's before I purchased it and restored it. A little interesting note, the truck came from Bolton Ford dealership in New Orleans. Bolton Ford is the dealership that was visited by the FBI shortly after the JFK assassination because somebody claiming to be Lee Harvey Oswald went to the dealership to purchase some trucks for the "Free Cuba" movement a few months before the assassintion. Anyway, the truck is a great example of an F250; most of these trucks did not survive their youth due to the heavy use they were put through. It has an 8 foot bed finished in Red Oak with White Oak used on the side stakes (which can be removed). The truck runs well, but it is an older restoration. This is a driver and not a show truck. It is great to drive to cruise-ins or to the local Home Depot. This is a solid, heavy duty steel truck with no filler and no fiberglass parts. Original 16 inch rims with fairly new tires. Mustang pinball game will feature art by Ford GT designer
Fri, 13 Dec 2013To celebrate 50 years of Mustang, Ford and Stern Pinball are collaborating on a new pinball machine that will feature the muscle car in all its glory, Polygon reports. Even better, Camilo Pardo, the guy who designed the Ford GT, will provide art for the table; Tanner Foust, Top Gear USA host and professional driver, will handle narrating duties; and a Sony Music soundtrack spanning five decades will provide the tunes.
"The Mustang is one of the most iconic, American cars ever made... What better way to celebrate 50 years of Mustang than with the launch of the Ford Mustang pinball game?" says Stern Pinball CEO Gary Stern.

Honda giving away free Civics in Forza Horizon to celebrate launch
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Just a friendly reminder from Honda: The Honda Challenge Pack DLC is now available for Forza Horizon. To reward you for the trouble of pressing a few buttons on your Xbox controller, you'll get the 2013 Honda Civic Coupe, an HPD Rally Fit and a 1986 Honda Civic Si Coupe in your garage, and you'll get them free. The event of the new DLC has also kicked off a photo contest that will reward someone with an Xbox 360 console wrapped in a Honda Civic Si theme.
Otherwise, the word "Challenge" keeps coming up because of the chance to run an online race against IndyCar driver Scott Dixon. The track for that digital throwdown has already been decided by Xbox players who voted before January 8. Yet it's not too late to hop into the Honda section in Xbox Live and lay down a time fast enough for a shot at the title "The Driver That Shellacked Scott Dixon," and meeting the man in person.

Ex-GM VP LaNeve takes over Lincoln ad agency
Wed, 10 Apr 2013Those of you that caught yesterday's op-ed about Lincoln will have heard already, but Mark LaNeve has taken the helm at Team Detroit. Once the North American vice president of sales, service and marketing for General Motors, LaNeve will now head up the agency that handles all of Ford advertising. LaNeve will also run the account for Lincoln. While at GM from 2001 to 2009, the exec oversaw ad campaigns like Cadillac's Breakthrough and sales initiatives like "Employee Pricing for Everyone."
He left in 2009 to join Allstate as chief marketing officer, oversaw the creation of the Mayhem ad spots and was moved into the role of VP of agency operations overseeing Allstate's 10,000 agents. He resigned from the insurer in February 2012 for personal reasons and joined Team Detroit in August 2012 as chief operating officer, in charge of satellite offices in New York and internationally. He replaces ex-CEO Cameron McNaughton, and will continue to hold the title of COO.
Lincoln is trying to get its 2013 back to rights after putting big dollar commercials for the 2013 MKZ on television then having production glitches preventing cars from getting to dealerships. With rumors of a relaunch in the works, it's no surprise LaNeve has been given the reins - and from here it looks like the brand is desperate for the kind of magic he's proved he can marshal. Perhaps he can start by calling a mulligan on the renaming exercise that gave us the hoary "Lincoln Motor Company" and go back to oh, say, "Lincoln." Then he can ask the product folks to get to work on the MKC concept...
