Beautifully restored 1952 Ford Marmon Harrington F2 All wheel drive 3/4 ton truck. This truck
went through a full body off nut and bolt restoration in the early 1990s by a well known 1952 Ford private
collector, parts and funding were not an issue when this truck was done and the results are obvious. I was a teen
at the time this truck was coming together and always admired its quality an detail. Then many years later I was
able to buy it out of his private collection. It's worth mentioning the
previous owner is very patriotic and wouldn't think of using foreign or any non OEM parts during its restoration so
all it's parts are USA made or NOS Ford, taken from his large inventory of NOS 52 Ford parts he was a large scale
collector. So you can be assured this isn't a restoration with a hodgepodge of foreign stuff today's market seems
to bring.
The engine is the correct era 239 V8 Flathead Ford and was rebuilt prior to the restoration and starts and runs
very nice. The only point I can deduct from the entire truck is that the engine block has a small repair near the
r/s water-pump that probably dates back to the 1950s and was obviously a good enough job that the rebuilder saw no
reason to replace it in after pressure testing in the early 90s when it was rebuilt prior to being installed in
this truck. This is not an issue it does not affect any performance or cause the engine to do anything unusual like
leak or run hot. The bed has been rebuilt using kiln treated, sanded and sealed hardwood, the trim is stainless steel and is show
caliber. The paint is one of the trucks many highlights, it is the factory color this truck was date coded with,
and is PPG Delstar Acrylic enamel, the finish is a 10 out of 10 I'm certain this paint job in today's market would
cost you over 20k to duplicate, which is one of the reasons I'm nervous to be around it. The interior is also
extremely nice and the seat has be reupholstered the spring set and even the burlap are were NOS 52 Ford, the
headliner replaced, all gages work even the dome light goes on and off with the doors being opened and shut, and
both spot lights shine bright. The odometer reads the mileage since the trucks rebuild.
To my knowledge everything on this truck works as
it should I have put a limited amount of miles on it with no problems, leaks,etc. It has been very well received
in the parades and shows I've had it in. The truck pretty much speaks for itself. This would make a wonderful
marketing tool for a large company to enjoy. I hold a clear title in hand.

2015 Ford Expedition
Mon, 21 Jul 2014While the tide of bigger-is-better SUVs has been in recession since, well, the recession, fullsize utes are still very much with us. Conservative creatures that have been loathe to evolve, fullsize SUVs nonetheless remain enduringly popular among large families, livery customers, and anyone with lots of friends, relatives, and toys to tug around. With respect to Toyota and Nissan, the only players that really matter in the segment are the new-for-2015 Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban, the GMC Yukon/Yukon XL, and this truck: the Ford Expedition, the latest evolution of which we just drove for the first time at a press preview in West Virginia.
Unlike the General Motors utilities, the standard Expedition and the long-wheelbase Expedition EL are not all-new, but rather are heavily refreshed versions of the same basic truck Ford started selling way back in 2007. The front fascia is where most of the exterior update happens for 2015, with a new three-bar grille design, halogen projector headlamps, and new bumper design with available LED foglamps. Despite all the new bits, the facelift breaks exactly zero ground in terms of design; in fact, it already looks dated, and will only look older once the macho 2015 F-150 bows later this year. Even less has changed out back, where the tailgate gets a wide chrome band spanning the taillamps and a new chrome exhaust tip. Other exterior changes are generally limited to colors and an all-new wheel lineup that includes a gleaming set of six-spoke 22-inch polished wheels on high-end models.
Speaking of high-end models, a new Platinum trim is positioned above the cowboy-spec King Ranch model for 2015. Both the Platinum and King Ranch get their own color combos and exterior trim finishes (satin metal for the Platinum, chrome everywhere and ginormous badges for the King Ranch) and posh, leather-lined interiors with their own aesthetic. The Expedition family also now includes a price-leading XL model, as well as XLT and Limited grades.
Ford adds 850 jobs to build 2015 F-150
Tue, 14 Oct 2014Pickup trucks tend not to advance at quite the same pace as the rest of the industry. That's what makes the new Ford F-150 so remarkable, jettisoning its old steel construction in favor of aluminum. It's a game changer that Ford is betting big on, and in anticipation of surging demand, the Blue Oval automaker is adding 850 new jobs to put the thing together.
Those 850 new employees will be centered at Ford's Rouge complex in Michigan - with 300 at Dearborn Stamping, 50 more at Dearborn Diversified and 500 at the Dearborn Truck facility, the latter of which has already kicked off what Ford describes as "the largest manufacturing transformation in decades." Old manufacturing equipment is being replaced with the latest technologies, and even the Ford Rouge Factory Tour is undergoing a complete overhaul.
The new jobs come as part of the commitments Ford made to the UAW in 2011 to create 12,000 hourly jobs in the United States by 2015 - a number which Ford has already exceeded at 14,000. Over 4,000 of those are centered in southeastern Michigan.
Ford overlooks the Big Apple in the 2015 Mustang Convertible [w/video]
Wed, 16 Apr 2014Ford has done it again. Like in April of 1964, there is once again an all-new Mustang Convertible sitting on the observation deck of New York City's Empire State Building. This has been in the making for a little while, with the first report that Ford would recreate the sky-high publicity stunt coming out a few weeks back.
The process of getting the Mustang up there wasn't exactly easy. A Troy, MI-based company chopped up the new droptop, a necessary evil to get the Mustang on the Empire State Building's only freight elevator that runs to the 86th floor observation deck. But it was slightly more involved than just taking the car apart. The company, DST, built a mockup of the ESB's freight elevators, and then practiced its cuts on a second pre-production Mustang Convertible (measure twice, cut once).
The result of all this work are the images you see above. Yes, sitting in the crisp, morning air of midtown Manhattan, over 1,000 feet up, is this brilliant, Triple Yellow Mustang.
