You are looking at a real
California Custom Cruiser Pickup! This 1952 Ford F1 has the right "Kustom
Kulture Look” The body is straight and solid shot in Red with a light pearl effect.
This truck starts, drives and stops very well, and gets a lot of attention
every where it goes. The body is not perfect but is good for a driver. The
suspension feels like a stock truck and goes down the road straight. It has a
low mileage Buick V8 Crate Engine with a side draft 2 barrel Holley carburetor,
great on gas. The 350 Automatic Transmission shifts well. New aluminum Radiator
and 12V wiring functions well. The top was chopped 2 inches with leaning the back window forward slightly to make up for the shorting of the roof. There is no overlaid metal and everything is completely welded. This Custom is a lowered ride with the 9” axle swapped to top of spring in the back, and a dropped tube axle swapped to top of spring in the front. Big and little BF Goodrich Long travel Wide White Wall Tires on 16” Black Steelies with original trim rings and smooth rippled Ford hubcaps. The door glass is not installed but the passenger side is cut. All the other glass is there, wing windows back and front. One wing has a small crack and the rest of the glass is chip and crack free. New dual exhaust all the way back. This "One of a Kind" Pickup Truck has many new and upgraded parts, well over 15K invested! The interior is very comfortable, new black naugahyde wraps the plush seat, the rest is pretty bare bones, stock dash and metal with a rubber floor mat. The body and running boards have no visible rust. It has new wood and tunnel over notch in the bed. Many Kustom pieces and touches including extra
teeth added to the grille, 1950 Packard taillights, shaved bumpers and badges.
This is a California truck and has always been
to the best of my knowledge, a daily driver with clear California title. Visible Vin and Black and Yellow

Preposed class-action lawsuit targets 'defective' MyFord Touch
Tue, 16 Jul 2013A national law firm, Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, has filed a proposed class action lawsuit whose presupposition is that MyFord Touch is defective. Specifically, the complaint states that the system - as well as the MyLincoln Touch and MyMercury Touch clones - often freeze, fail to respond to voice or touch commands and have issues connecting to mobile phones.
According to Hagens Berman managing partner Steve Berman, MyFord Touch is a theoretically "brilliant idea" that falls short in actual execution. Said Berman in a press release, "In reality, the system is fundamentally flawed, failing to reliably provide functionality, amounting to an inconvenience at best, and a serious safety issue at worst."
Other MFT issues enumerated within the 41-page filing include problems controlling the window defroster, rear-view camera and navigation system. The suit maintains that Ford is aware of the problem but has yet to submit a workable and acceptable solution to MFT customers. Scroll down if you'd like to read the full press release.
F-150 just the start of Ford's aluminum plans
Tue, 14 Jan 2014Not only have we been told that the 2015 Ford F-150 is tougher, more durable and up to 700 pounds lighter than the current truck, Ford COO Mark Fields said it's also "CAFE-positive." That means, for the first time in the history of corporate average fuel economy standards, the F-150 would be a positive contributor on Ford's CAFE balance sheet instead of being a vehicle it needs to counterbalance with frugal offerings.
Fields' comments made at the Detroit Auto Show were among quotes from other Ford execs that confirmed the carmaker will be using aluminum for more of its vehicles. CEO Alan Mulally said it would "proliferate across our lineup," with speculation being that we'll see it applied to crossover and sport utility models first, since they'll benefit the most. Even gaining the massive scale of using aluminum on the world's best selling vehicle for its first effort - on average, the company sells two times as many F-150s in a single day as Land Rover sells of its aluminum Range Rover in a month - Ford will be looking to further spread the cost of its five-year development investment in aluminum technology. And that should mean better handling and fuel economy for those of us who don't need to wear hardhats at the office.
Ford F-250 boots Cadillac Escalade from atop thieves' most-wanted list
Tue, 09 Jul 2013The Ford F-Series has been America's best-selling truck for decades, but along with the good comes the bad, apparently. In addition to being popular with consumers, the Highway Loss Data Institute notes that the F-Series Super Duty has risen in popularity among thieves. Based on its new study, the four-wheel drive crew cab F-250 Super Duty has topped the list for the country's highest rate of insurance theft claims, knocking the Cadillac Escalade from the top spot - a distinction the luxury SUV has held since this annual report was first established in 2003.
To reach its findings, HLDI looks at theft data from the previous three model years (in this case 2010-2012) to determine the frequency of claims for a particular make and mode,l as well as the average payment per claim. As the report points out, the claims aren't always for the theft of the entire vehicle - they can include components (say, wheels and tires) or property taken from the vehicle. At seven claims per 1,000 insured vehicles, the F-250 is six times more likely to suffer a theft claim than the average vehicle.
The Cadillac likely dropped from the top of the list to sixth due to additional theft-prevention features including a steering wheel lock and inclination sensor for the alarm, but GM's other fullsize trucks and SUVs still occupy eight of the list's 10 spots. Some of the least stolen vehicles with below-average loss payments include the Lexus HS250h, Hyundai Tucson, Honda CR-V and Dodge Journey.
