HI WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS A 1994 FORD EXPLORER SPORT THAT I BOUGHT NEW IN JANUARY OF 1994. EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD INCULDING THE AC. THE TIRES HAVE AT LEAST 60 % TREAD. I HAD THE FRONT END REBUILT ABOUT 35000 MILE AGO.. NEW BREAKS WITHIN THE LAST 5000 MILE INCULDING FRONT ROTERS FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS REPACKED AT THAT TIME. IT DRIVES VERY GOOD. I DO MOST OF THE SERVICE WORK MYSELF, IT HAS A FRESH OIL CHANGE AND SERVICE WITH MOBIL 1 OIL. THE 4X4 WORKS PERFECT I HAVE HAD IT IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE MAYBE TEN TIMES. IT DOES HAVE A LITTLE BOBO ON THE BACK WHERE I GOT TOO CLOSE TO A TREE BACKING UP WHICH IS SHOWN IN THE PICTURES. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN STORED INSIDE AND THE PAINT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO CLEAR COAT PEALING ALTHOUGH IT DOES HAVE SOME MINOR SCRATCHES . THE INTERIOR IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION NO RIPS OR TEARS. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SOUTH ALL ITS LIFE AND HAS NO BODY RUST, IN ALL THE YEARS I HAVE OWNED IT IT GETS A CONSTANT 20-21 MPG, ALL IN ALL A VERY GOOD RUNNING AND PREFORMING SUV FOR JUST A LITTLE BIT OF MONEY

Former Cadillac boss Butler takes Ford tech job
Tue, 07 Jan 2014When Don Butler made the surprising decision to leave his post as Cadillac's VP of global strategic development, it was a surprise. Citing a desire to "recalibrate, reassess my priorities" in that August announcement, it wasn't entirely clear where Butler - a virtual General Motors lifer after spending nearly 30 years with the company - would end up. Turns out he took a trip to Dearborn.
Butler has taken a position in the newly created position of Executive Director of Connected Vehicles and Services at Ford, where he'll be responsible for the Blue Oval's global connectivity strategy. "Not only does Don understand the connected car landscape, but probably just as important, he understands customer expectations," said Raj Nair, who, as Group Vice President of Global Product Development, is Butler's new boss. "Having a leader with technology experience both inside and outside the industry is a rare combination - we're excited to have Don join our team."
As Ford has received its fair share of flak for the sometimes recalcitrant MyFord Touch infotainment system and its Sync voice-controls, it appears that Butler has his work cut out for him.
NHTSA releases updated Takata airbag recalled cars list, but it still has errors
Wed, 22 Oct 2014
Unfortunately, the government's list still contains errors.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an updated list of vehicle models that it's urging owners to repair under the mushrooming Takata airbag inflator recall. The latest version adds vehicles from new automakers like Subaru and Ford that are missing from the original announcement, and it also removes erroneous entries from General Motors, leaving only the 2005 Saab 9-2X (a reskinned Subaru WRX), and the 2003-2005 Pontiac Vibe, a joint project with Toyota.
Ford dinged by OSHA for asbestos at Buffalo plant
Sat, 20 Jul 2013Ford has come under fire from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for violations regarding asbestos exposure in a company metal stamping plant in Buffalo, NY. OSHA has cited Ford for eight violations in total, according to an Automotive News report, and faces fines of up to $41,800. 537 workers are employed at the stamping facility.
The violations include a pipefitter at the facility being exposed to asbestos-containing material while working on a steam line, other workers exposed to the material without respiratory protection and work areas that were not designed to limited the number of workers in contact with asbestos. Further, areas in which asbestos was present were not properly restricted, and levels of asbestos in the air were not monitored.
According to an unnamed Ford spokesperson in the AN report, the company feels that the OSHA citation is erroneous saying, "We have fully cooperated with the local OSHA officials and we don't believe the citations are warranted." Ford also maintains that it will work with the authorities to resolve the issue.
